[QUOTE="BudsMcGreen"][QUOTE="Tragic_Kingdom7"]

I didn't want to get Resistance 2 because I thought the first was dull, but after hearing alot of good things about number two and seeing alot of good looking footage and stuff, it seems like Resistance 2 is quite a bit different and I might want to check it out. Like I said, I wasn't a fan of the first one, but I'm really interested in the sequel.

But before I spend sixty bucks on this, can some of you with the game confirm my feeling that is different? How exactly is it different? I didn't like the first because I thought it lacked style and atmosphere and individuality. From what I've seen, Resistance 2 seems have alot more style and atmosphere. But how much of a difference is it? What is the atmosphere like compared to the first? What does R2 do set itself apart from its predecessor and other shooters?

Thanks in advance.

It does 60 players in MP, but it is still just a generic shooter with aliens.

Define generic in the context of shooters please. I see that term thrown around a lot, but I have yet to see a definition for the term in relation to FPS games.

A lack of style. No character development. Obvious influences from other, better, games. G-E-N-E-R-I-C.

[QUOTE="EVOLV3"]Killzone 2 is the only game on consoles that is able to challenge Crysis when it comes to graphics. -Mad_Rhetoric-
KZ2 looks good but not in crysis's league

I agree. KZ2 is comparable to say, Gears 2. But Crysis at max settings is comparable to reality.

crysis and killzone2 both have crappy texture work...but i think i seen better textures in killzone2.

i think the actual levels in killzone2 are alot more pretty to look at..

It's awesome because it rips off gameplay from a shooter that's almost a decade old? Woah.:roll:
