[QUOTE="Tapout_076"]So the current patches for Stalker Clear Sky don't help any with the bugs? I believe theres like 7 patches..kalossimitar

they do make the game not buggy at all. Thos epoeple clearly didnt play the game not long ago. I PLAY THE GAME, WITH THE PATCHES, AND EVERYTHING IS PERFECTLY FINE!

Just because it works for you doesn't mean it will work for everyone else. I still get crashes to Windows everytime I use quickload.

Yes they help with most of the critical bugs that stop you completing the game but some crash bugs are still unresolved.

Sorry, should have said it before. It's STALKER: Shadow of Chernobyl, not ClearSky.

Are you sure they don't mention anything important when you ask them?

They mostly just give you information about the Zone or whatever for the people who like exploring ever little detail. They may have given you sidequests but I don't remember, in which case they probably weren't that significant anyway.

I don't think you can ask that in Clear Sky. They never tell you anything interesting anyway, so don't bother asking.

PS2 games have the largest shelf allocation in almost every local store I got to. New releases or not, it is still a competitive system.

PS1
Battle Arena Toshinden
Die Hard Trilogy
Hogs of War
Gex Series

PS2
The Getaway
Bloody Roar 3 and 4
Juiced (but not Juiced 2. It took out everything that made the first one good to me.)

[QUOTE="Buffalo_Soulja"][QUOTE="dmc333"]

Techdemos are just that. "Tech" demos. I'm bored. Wow it's running water. Please... use physics to make a fun game, not running water. Then I will be impressed.

dmc333

It sets the mood of a treacherous and decaying environment and allows easier suspension of disbelief, which is always a great asset for horror games.

So I'm going to sit for four minutes and watch how the running water bounces off the wall. Water sound effects have been done before. Which already set the mood. Games becoming more popular is just like anything else when it becomes popular, leads to more useless, overrated crap.

Some people respond better to visual stimuli then aural, in which case it is more effective then simply hearing it. Actually that would be the majority, as is evident from greater response to advances in graphics technology than sound technology.

[QUOTE="biggest_loser"][QUOTE="Jinroh_basic"]good job to all the winners and nominated titles :) but awarding the Goty to a title that didn't get the highest score? imo, that's pretty absurd. Jinroh_basic

Almost as dodgey as Serious Sam getting GOTY on a certain website...SERIOUS SAM!!

actually, the pair share alot of similarities -- they are both budget titles, both having relatively less hype, and both surprisingly good. but still, i think review score should be the decisive criteria..... or else, what's the point of having that system?

They state their reasoning: post-release support and replay value, which can't always be measured in initial reviews.

I thought the computer screens were rather ordinary and totally ruined the experience for me.
