[QUOTE="gago-gago"]So nomore letting friends borrow or borrowing games from friends and fam too? What about gamefly and stuff?lx_theo
Depends on the publisher. I wonder if they're smart enough to realize they'd lose a lot of customers trying to do this... Sony was smart enough to not be the one to pull the trigger (they'd have gotten all the ill will from it)... Not the publishers get their turn at the russian roulette of blocking used games.

Yeah, but the xbox 360 has been out for what.. 7-8 years and nobody has done this. Why would it happen just because we move to a next gen?

And if I found a new copy it still wouldnt matter because they would be no online servers to activate the code. enough of this... **** publishers.

And what if I want to buy it used 20 years from now because I want to collect everything?

lundy86_4

Are you f*cking kidding me... I said that buying used would be an issue. F*cking read, dipsh*t.

Only if they're out of print, then i'd agree.

lundy86_4

That means they aren't printing new copies. Oh mah God!

Yeah, that would be an issue. Point taken, thanks.

Restricting used games also ruins the entertaiment of collection them. I do that a lot, and I probably will even more when PS4 gets very very old.

Ruins the entertainment of collecting them? Only if they're out of print, then i'd agree. If you bought them new, and held onto them... There isn't much of an issue.

And what if my consoles breaks and the online support is down? My Sega Dreamcast`s have broke down plenty of times. What I do is log in to Ebay and buy myself another used console. This will not be possible as well in the future.

When the PS4 gets old they will eventully shut down the online servers. Sony could shut down their online support, and the publishers will also do this. If I buy a used game, how the hell will I be able to activate the game if the single player somehow is blocked with a code? Im only able to collect Dreamcast games these days because Sega didnt screw us over with some activation codes, even if the online servers Dreamcast used to have is dead now. You know, sometime in the future people might see the fun in collecting old games. If the console is dead, they wont be loosing any money over it anyway.

You're assuming what the restriction of used games would be. If you bought new and collected, like I said, it wouldn't be an issue. Sh*t son, read.

Anyway, it`s to early to be freaking off about this yet. Sony has already said that the console wont require online in order to function, and that they will run used games. I dont know if Gamespot asked the question or someone else but this sounds freaking stupid IMO: On activation codes for secondhand PS4 titles It's a publisher decision. We are not talking about it. Sorry. ---------------- What the hell did they expect Sony to answer then publishers already uses multiplayer activation codes and DLC`s? A simply "NO"? That would be wrong to. When people interview Sony they have to learn not to ask so stupid questions. Jesus christ..
