I'll wait, before I pour over potentially miscontrued quotes. I'd expect to see a monetization of the used market, rather than a complete blocking. The used market is huge for a reason, due to people buying used. For whatever reason they purchase used, it's a stupid market to ostracize.

Please tell me what`s so special about game publishers? Why should they have the luxury of blocking/restricting products when everyone else cant? I can sell my books, video cameras, PC`s +++++ ... Why the hell are game publishers so special? Just because they have technoligy that allows them to?? Come on

This is also bad news from Sony:

" We're shifting our platform more and more to the digital side PS4 will be similar to PS Vita in that every game will be available as a digital download, and some will also be available as a disc."

Im starting to wonder what the hell is wrong with some of you. I see plenty of you are supporting the publishers when it comes to used games, why?

I don`t buy used games, and I own 100 games for my Xbox 360. I will not buy used games for the next gen consoles, but that is not the point. We have something called consumer rights. We already have to pay $60 dollar for a brand new game, still we don`t get the full experience. In Mass Effect they literally block half the game. First you play full price, but if you want the full experience you have to buy DLC after DLC, almost each month after the game has been released. So in reality you pay way more than $60, maybe more than $100. And if you want to enjoy multiplayer you also have to pay monthly subscription to Xbox Live. If the game is used you also have to pay for a online pass, and now they are planning to block offline mode as well? COME ON. What the hell is wrong with you?

Also, when I pay full price for a new game I want to own my product. If you are unable to sell, trade, give away or purchase a used game without limitations, you don`t own the product in any way. You are simply renting the game. Thats right, you are renting the license from the publisher to play the game for as long as they like you to. When they don`t want to support the game any longer, they can cut online support. They can take the servers offline at any time, leaving you with nothing more than a useless copy of the game.

Diablo 3 is a good example. The game requires a activation code, and you always have to be online in order to play it. Nobody owns that game, except from Blizzard. The gamers are renting the license to play it, and Blizzard can shut the game down at any time. Remember error 37? It`ll be the same thing.

Steam is also a good example. People are just renting the games. And yeah, some of the games are cheap, but you are still just renting them. You don`t even have a physical copy of the game, and thats also one thing that I hate. I spent $5000 on my game collection for my Xbox 360. When someone spends so much money on a game collection, you want to show people that you don`t throw the money out of the window. When you are spending so much money, you want to show people that you actully spent the money on something.

Game publishers still makes a **** load of money, and still you are defending them? What the hell is wrong with this world? If a publisher don`t make money on their games, it`s simply because their game sucks. Do you think the developers of Diablo, Mass Effect, GTA and Call of Duty are broke in any way? That they don`t make money out of their games?

My point is, if publishers want to rent us games instead of giving us the ownership, they should offer us the same price as other rental service retailers, like Gamefly.

Am I the only person in this world who cares about our rights as a consumer anymore? And as I said, you don`t have to love used games to not support this **** I`m not buying the next gen if this is the way everything is going. And I will not support their consoles.

Well,  no single player games are blocked with codes so far on consoles.  Online passes are ok because the online mode will eventully die some time anyway.  So if everything is going to be it is now,  what is the fuzz about?  Its not like every publisher will block entire games just because we get a new console,  if they already can.  Am i way off now?
