I meant no online mode required. Its rumored that MS will do this, though I dont think its true. Edge seemed pretty certaint.

1. Why in gods name is it so important to everyone to see a chunk of plastic with a disk slot and maybe a few USB ports? Sure it wouldn't hurt, but why is it such a huge deal? It's 2013, we know what a console is going to look like. 2. Sony showed around 4 games, and announced several more. Many of them to be exclusive. Sony showed plenty of games, and if they can't sell you on at least 2 or 3 of them, you were never interested to begin with. (Games should sell a console) 3. What are you even saying here? 4. They have in fact confirmed that the system won't block used games on a core level, and that publishers can choose to take the same online pass approach they have through the last half of the current generation. Where exactly is the confusion? 5. I'll give you this one. BC is a bit of a deal. Would I prefer the PS4 had full BC, of course I would. Since it is such a big deal to be though, I'll keep my PS3.darkspineslayer
Thanks for atleast giving me one :P
But to be honest, I really didnt think people cared so much about BC. The question is, did Sony?

Im seeing a hell of alot of they can do it now claims without a wit of proof to back it up, there is no system in place on the consoles to revoke single player access or booting up the game. there is however a pass system that blocks online access which is a totally different thing since how I understand it is that when the pass is purchased or code entered you either download a small file or your acount is flagged as okay on said dev or pubs servers. If they wanted to block sp a few things would need to take place...
1. the system would need to be always online since most devs have given up on standard license codes because of the ease with which such locally based authorizations are cracked quite alot of developers use an online authnet.
2. a system would have to be put in place since outside of the game any code entrance or purchase the data sent goes over sony or ms servers *sony did file a patent for blocking used games ms didnt all we have is a rumor so what does one believe rumor or actually patent application?*
With as much as some pubs have complained of used games if it was as easy as is being said in this thread why wasnt it used by said pubs this gen? maybe its because they couldnt till now?

This made my day. Cheers!
Sony`s like:
We wont ban used game!!
People:
FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK YEEEEEEEAH, WE LOVE YOU, SONY!!!!!!
A bit later:
Sony: It`s up to the publishers.
People: **** U, NOW WE HATE YOU EVEN MORE!!
Good going, Sony :)
Rumors has it that Microsoft will reveal the new Xbox very soon. To be honest it can be that hard to win everyones attention. IMO the Sony presentation was very poor.
1. Microsoft could actully show of the next console. This will probably mean A LOT.
2. Focus more on showing us good games. I think Sony was focusing way more on promoting their publishers games, rather than selling us the console.
3. No online mode required.
4. Announce used game support 100%. Sony is pissing people off right now because of their communication about this issue.
5. Backwards compatible. After reading comments the last few days I noticed that this is WAY more important to people than I first thought.
The last one can be a bit hard if they didnt plan on that, but I think they could win people`s heart very easy by following these steps.
Sony sucks.
We're screwed

Sony can't control thier 3rd party publishers. The 3rd party already ruines the online part. Sony can atleast keep them from doing that to the offline part.Good luck with hunting down games later on if they aren't on an online service then.[QUOTE="Nengo_Flow"]All consoles should block used games.mitu123
Yeah, or just shut down the online servers that reads the activation codes when the system gets old :)
And FYI. I have 60 games for my Xbox 360, and I bought every single game new. I dont own any used games at all for my systems. But I own the rights to these products, and I can do whatever I want with them. This is important! I really dont give a crap about the used games, but I care about my right as a consumer. I want to own the games I pay for, not Sony. Do you really have no issue with this?It really is amazing how many people actually support the banning of used games. I hope you kids never borrowed anything from the library, or from a friend, or bought any sort of used product. Hypocrits. The game industry is the only one who is crying about something people have been able to do forever. You don't see authors crying about how their books are read at a library nor do you see car manufacturers raising hell about used cars. Publishers have a stick up their ass.
