This kid I am friends made a deal with his parents about him getting a 360.

1. He had to get straight A's all throughout the semester, and on finals, then he has permission to buy the console.

2. He then had to pay for it with his own money.

3. Then after he has bought it, he can't get live until summer, IF his parents even let him.

He has to do all of this, and he is 16, yes 16!!!!! You'd think his parents would be a little less strict about it since he is 16!!!! Oh and, he can't buy Gears of War at all, even with the blood turned off.

I agree, kids with strict parents always complain, but you know you'll most often become a better person because of it. I mean, when I was 16, I thought video games were the best, Halo and PGR, but now I'm almost 20 and I thank my parents "strictness" for my non-antisocial behavior an non-adiction to video games. Plus, what's better than parties, beer, and females, right? I paid for my own xbox when it came out, but without my self-control, taught to me by my parents, I would be like the kid on page 3, that has 18 games and 100 dorky people on his friends list who are just like he is, and who's mom could care less.

Is it really that addicting? I'm thinking of buying it next month, and it looks like a cool game. But some people say it's really addicting... that it gets in the way of social life, work, PERSONAL HYGIENE and the like. Is this true? Maybe i shouldn't get it.Freebird8877
If video games get in the way of your life, your life must be boring as hell. You gotta learn to just put the controller down and tend to your other obligations.

One thing I don't like about BestBuy is the online order/ pickup system.

Say if I wanna pre-order Halo 3 online, i can't pick it up at the store when it comes out, it has to be shipped to me and will take 2-4 days to arrive after the release date.

If I want to order it online and pick it up at the store, I would have to wait until the release date, then order it  online (if its not sold out) then possibly pick it up.

Let's see...

Gears of War (capiagn mode was OK) but it was too much like resident evil

Madden, especially 06

Dead Rising, its just terrible.

Perfect dark, i was almost tricked into buying this game because of all the comercials saying "so and so gave it a 9.0 out of 10"

I will defend Oblivion and GRAW as good games

I HAVE played all of these games.

it doesn't surprise me that the army could adapt the Xbox 360 controller to compatable with some hardware. It's the army, they have technology that we might not even know about.

it makes sense to use such a simple input device instead of having to drag a laptop with you.

Of course the Army has the technology, most people have the tech. to adapt the controller to anything.

They dont use it though. Not in war.

why wouldn't they use it. it might be more efficient.

from what i've seen so far it looks kind of lame, and halo 3 beta is just an incentive to buy a crappy game, but odds are if i don't get selected the first way, i'll play halo 2 for 3 hours and the register on the 5th, and if that fails, i will buy halo 3 beta with crackdownn.
