If I needed a women, Xbox Live wouldn't be a place I'd be looking.
Lmao. Good stuff. I'm guessing your 18+ and realistic though. Kids stuck at home think gaming can also become their social life. Trust me, if you meet your dream girl online, it's too good to be true. Big Mama's House will come knocking at your door. I think you're right though that way too many people are hiding behind cyberspace to find relationships. I know that that scenario CAN be successful but most of the time it's just silly especially amongst the younger generations. My girlfriend's 16 year old brother met some girl on the internet. That seems WAY too young to be developing distance relationships based on the internet. I'm not knocking it, per se, simply saying the state of affairs amongst today's youth is concerning to me.I don't know. They usually reserve that for the titles that they expect to get huge numbers (Halo series, Grand Theft Auto series, Madden series). I just don't think Final Fantasy, as huge of a series as it is, or the RPG genre really draws that kind of attention that would make stores stay open late and pay their employees even later. Just a guess though.[QUOTE="CNUrGames"][QUOTE="orb_03_2006"] I think they will. the game will be amazing. can't see why they wouldn't...seankane
FFXIII will be a system seller. Its the first next-gen FF, and the first sequential FF game in about 4 years. It'll be a big deal. Just like FFVII was a big deal for the Playstation-era, and FFX for the PS2-era. This time around, it'll be multi-console as well, so thats gonna generate even bigger numbers.
And while FF may not be as big a seller as GTA, its definitely a bigger seller than Madden. So if Madden deserves a midnight release, I see no reason why FFXIII shouldn't.
EDIT: Just found an interesting page:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_best-selling_video_games
It lists Final Fantasy as the 6th best selling franchise of all-time. Some other interesting facts there, too.
I always appreciate a factual discussion. Looking at that I can't argue that Final Fantasy is one of the top selling franchises and I wouldn't even try, but I'm curious what their listing is for that. I mean even if you exclude 11 as an offshoot, that's still 12 Final Fantasy games plus spin offs that have sold 85 million. GTA has had 4 regular installments plus offshoots (no more than FF and with Tactics included, much less) and has sold 70 million. Final Fantasy has sold more overall as a series but if they stopped making them and kept releasing GTA in the same fashion it would crush it.
FF13 will sell well, don't get me wrong and I want to get it and think it will be good. But I don't know that a majority of retailers can justify staying open for a midnight sale because I don't think their immediate volume is going to be huge, in the millions of copies in the first day like they can expect for GTA or Halo releases.. I mean if you want that to happen or want there to be a better chance, I'd go pre-order it so they see the big demand for it and consider it. What I'm saying is I doubt that they will do a midnight sale. If they do, I'll gladly admit that I was wrong, I'm just not seeing it having a good chance.
Edit: I changed my numbers on sales. I had misplaced a 5 and a 0. FF has sold 85 million, while GTA has sold 70 million. Big difference (10 million over the difference I had listed before) but it doesn't change my argument.
If were lucky only games specifically designed for natal will use it.capthavicI wouldn't mind seeing some optional features in other games that use it but I wouldn't want to see features in main stream games that required it
Edit: My apologies, I found the bundle with the controller by scrolling down a bit more ::doh!:: They're the same price... that makes the question much more difficult.
Yes, It does I had GH4 just the guitar one. Beat it but this one seems longer. Im still at the question whether or not I want to buy another Guitar Hero. I had guitar hero 3, didn't get 4 and didn't get World Tour. I don't own Rock Band so I have no instruments. I'd like to get GH5 just so I have another guitar and what not and can get back into it because I really loved the first one and liked when they started adding features to it. Plus getting a game that's going to be 40-60 dollars for free just seems like too good of an offer. I don't know... I'm really torn on this now.Where is this Halo free controller thing because I could use another controller but I'm not finding that deal. I'd probably go ODST. As much as I really want to Pre-order Guitar Hero 5 to get Van Halen for free, I can't bring myself to buy another Guitar Hero game... I really want to, but just can't do it.

I bought a SE fightstick from MadCatz for SFIV, having a great time with it and its taken quite a beating and still working fine.
However, I did hear that many people had problems with the first batch of these sticks due to some bad design (loose washers rubbing against the PCB)but I believe the problems were addressed (Well I hope so :?).
If your looking for a controller for SFIV id suggest picking up a Hori stick if you can get one cheap.
Just wondering whats the appeal of a new MW2 specific controller? Do they incorporate turbo fire or something?
In the video, they have the "combat buttons" on the back, which you can map to different buttons so you don't have to take your thumbs off the sticks in order to do certain features (crouch, melee, jump) but other than that, I don't think there's anything special. I doubt IW would add any "turbo fire" considering modded controllers were one of the biggest points of contention for MW1
