i actually agree.. overall sales would have suffered but those of us that went with the Xbox One would have potentially had a much richer expereince over the next 5-7 years..

and let's face it, as hardcore gamers, all of us typically have stable, highspeed internet connections 100% of the time or we totally freak out.. in terms of hardcore gamers, "always online" was a non-issue.. many of the complaints came from Microsoft's extremely bad messaging and rabid Sony fanboy's that smelled blood and spread some of the dumbest rumors and misinformation imaginable..

i hate that Micorsoft caved under the pressure and didnt convey their message properly.. Console gaming as a whole just got held back an entire generation in my opinion.. and we have no one to blame but ourselves..

Is this a joke?

No hardcore gamer would favor the xbox ONE. Inferior controller. No AAA exclusive. Halo and Forza after the first year.

i'm legitimately confused by this nonsense post.. good work sir

There is nothing on the xbox ONE that would attract core gamers.

All you're gonna get are Halo, gears and forza after the first year (None of them will get above a 90 on meta).

The controller is inferior to the DS4 as stated by BF4 dev and journalists.

Inferior multiplats.

There are still the issues of:

- Inferior controller

- No AAA exclusive

- Less powerful

- No one to play multiplayer with

Best Halo multiplayer this gen now that they fixed it. The only parts not up to par to Reach and Halo 3 are the actual maps. They aren't bad but they could have been better. mems_1224

Do you really believe what you say or are you just saying that to hide your buyer's remorse?

No more uncharted, something new plox.rjdofu

You really don't get how valuable Uncharted is, do you?

Uncharted is one of those franchises where SONY can continue milking and still get 6+ million sales per main installment.

It's not like Halo or Gears of War where you eventually run out of ideas for a plot and make some half-assed crap like Halo 4.

Naughty Dog has 2 teams now. The Uncharted 3 team released their game in 2011.

Agreed. Halo was the xbox's only redeeming feature. Now it's a AA trash series.

[QUOTE="shawn30"] How? Seriously, how is a product that is months from release a DISASTER? darkangel115

C'mon, you at least have to admit SONY & Cerny did a better job at designing and engineering the internals of their console.

Lol you clearly don't understand computer hardware. Or you would see cerny gave sony a huge gimped console. PS3 was a memory leak machine becuase it only had half its ram for the OS and running of games and half for graphcis. the fact they put half the ram in graohcis is what gimped the PS3 so what did they do? allocate all the ram to grapchis on the PS4. lol Cerny stuck it in sony so hard and fast they had no clue what hit them. and he's laughing to the bank

[QUOTE="ronvalencia"]At 1080p and minus heavy MSAA, modern games are not ROPS bound.

http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/df-hardware-spec-analysis-durango-vs-orbis

"Other information has also come to light offering up a further Orbis advantage: the Sony hardware has a surprisingly large 32 ROPs (Render Output units) up against 16 on Durango. ROPs translate pixel and texel values into the final image sent to the display: on a very rough level, the more ROPs you have, the higher the resolution you can address (hardware anti-aliasing capability is also tied into the ROPs). 16 ROPs is sufficient to maintain 1080p, 32 comes across as overkill, but it could be useful for addressing stereoscopic 1080p for instance, or even 4K. However, our sources suggest that Orbis is designed principally for displays with a maximum 1080p resolution."

Are you claiming 115GB/s memory will halve my 7950-950Mhz's frame rate?

7950-950Mhz with GDDR5 @ 5000Mhz effective (240 GB/s). Minor fps hit with reduced memory speed.

Tomb Raider at Ultimate settings and 1080p shared.

--------------

7950-950Mhz with GDDR5 @ 2400Mhz effective (115.2 GB/s)

I am isolating Pixel Fillrate performance, nothing more, nothing less. You keep saying that the PS4's 32 ROPS will be under utilised vs the 7970 due to bandwidth, which is true. I am just putting in actual numbers to show where the fillrate differences between the X1 and the PS4 will be. Your test is flawed because memory bandwidth impacts more than just fillrate so that performance deficit is not isolated to fillrate alone. I have never claimed that pixel fillrate is the be all and end all of GFX performance.

Giving up, are we?

[QUOTE="shawn30"]

MS backing down is a joke, If anything is called better decision making now, and with months before launch wise moves will pay off in the long-term. I feel bad for the countries not getting Xbox One on launch, but I dont blame MS or any company in looking at and prioritizing the markets that will perform the best for them. That's just smart business. The core attributes of the Xbox One are still there, and what was taken out will return as an option rather than being shoved down peoples throats. f course this is system wars, so Cows gonna see every single MS news item as negative. But all in all they are now answering concerns of people who atually want to buy the system, and making the finished product better months before launch. Who wins ths sales war isnt padding my bank account no matter who it, lol. But the Xbox One for me is just the much better system than the PS4. I'm fine with the changes.

Hard for me to think that a console with no multiplayer is the better console. :|

No multiplayer? I think its the better console because I want and value what the Xbox One has and does. I only speak for myself though. I want the motion and voice controls, the exclusive Xbox Games, the exclusive DLC, the NFL fantasy football stuff as me and my buds play it, the possibility to subsidize the system through my cable provider and possibly ala MS's deal with Time-Warner eliminate my cable box and access my cable subscription online thus getting rid of of my box and its monthly rental fee. First and foremost for me ist the MS games, but the other stuff interests me. The PS4 feels like a powerful gaming system and thats all. I want kore, and I see that from what I have see about the Xbox One. To each his own.

No one's gonna be playing CoD: Ghosts multiplayer when you can only find 2 other people after 40 minutes of match-making.
