Rank #3 on No More Heroes :)

Well, over the last week or so I have almost completed the wonderful game 'No More Heroes'.
I've really enjoyed the experience so far, and look forward to getting my hands on the sequel.
This morning I beat Speed Buster, the rank #3 battle. This is a perfect example of the bizarre nature of each boss battle.
It is also a perfect example of how the female boss battles seem to be so much harder than the males, even if they are a lower rank.

I have loved playing this game, especially the long winded boss battles. I also loved the side missions including the part-time jobs. However, one flaw in this section is the annoying trips back and fourth!!! They are so annoying, especially when it comes to approaching the often unfair assassination missions via a long motorbike ride, and failing the battle within seconds!!!

I will be reviewing this game as soon as I am ranked #1, and I predict that will be by the end of tomorrow night.
I recommend this game to every wii owner :)

No More Heroes again :)

Hey guys, long time no blog.
Sorry about the massiveness of this blog. I probably could have found smaller pictures...but I couldn't be bothered ¬_¬

VIDEO GAME UPDATE TIME:

No More Heroes (Wii)

I love this game so much! I bought it quite a while ago, and like most of my video games didn't even get close to finishing. In fact, I only got to rank 8, but didn't manage to beat Shinobu. I think this was even on easy mode!!!! Anyway, I've started this game again and am playing through it now, enjoying every minute of it! I love the combat, and I love the quirky characters, the crazy side missions, the crazy music, the weird start thing at the side of the screen - I love this crazy game :P I am playing the game on Sweet mode (as that was the hardest mode available when I started) and I've just beaten Shinobu. I thought it was a pretty darn hard boss battle! I've raised enough money to get into rank 7 battle after 6 hours of play. That's probably longer than I should have taken, but oh well.

Namco Museum DS

I'm going to come clean here. I started playing this game purely because it had Pac-man on. No spin offs or extras, just plain pac-man. After Google had the interactive pac-man game on their logo for his 30th, I remembered how much I loved that game! So, I started playing Namco Museum DS. Since I started playing it, the majority of gaming admittedly has been on pac-man. However, I have been enjoying a bit of Dig-Dug and Mappy as well. Anyway, I love Pac-man, and that's the main perk for me :)

Overall...

I've finally gotten back into gaming! I'm very very happy about this! I'm getting a good hour or two of gaming per night at least, which has been achieved from cutting down on my computer addiction.

WOOP :)

Update

Hey guys,

Aint blogged in a while. Mainly cos I haven't been gaming much. Well, now I am, so yeh.
Started A Boy And His Blob again, and want to complete it A.S.A.P
The reason for this - I have a few awesome games that I haven't completed yet, that I really need to, as some awesome new games are coming out and I don't wanna buy them until I've finished the others. These include A Boy and his Blob, No More Heroes, New Super Mario Bros., Luigi's Mansion and various others. On another note, I was recently elected HEAD BOY in my school. How cool, let's have a party!

Fun party guys.

goodbye

Level 20

Woohoo! Level 20.
Levels don't mean much to me, but that's a cool landmark :p

Anyway, life's good right now. I'm doing great in school, writing plenty of good music.
Also, my Super Mario Galaxy challenge is going well :) I'm on 35 stars, and I'm determined!

On wednesday, I'm off to Fortaventura! WOOOOO. I'm gonna be playing plenty of DS games on that trip, which will be great fun.

That is all.

Super Mario Galaxy Challenge (part 1)

Anyone who read my last blog will know I've started a challenge recently to complete the whole of Super Mario Galaxy, with all 242 stars and all the purple coins. All by the time the new Super Mario Galaxy 2 is released in the UK. Someone mentioned in a comment that It would be easy, as they'd completed the whole thing in 3 months. However, I am never the type of gamer who completes games in short periods of time, I always spread it out for ages. On top of that, I won't have a Wii for two weeks soon, so that will be even more time to make up for! So yeh, this will be a real challenge for me.

Anyway, on to my current progress. I've played it for the last 4 days, and I'm on star 19 so far. 10 of those were from last night :P I reckon I'm getting on quite nicely. I'm loving the game, and I'm finding it sad to move on from galaxy to galaxy, each one is just so lovely :) All the music is fantastic too. I especially love the ambient music of Space Junk Galaxy.

The one thing that I have realized all over again is the low difficulty of Super Mario Galaxy. I rarely find myself with under 10 extra lives, simply because the levels are pretty easy, and it's very easy to gain extra lives. It's quite nice and relaxing in a way, but I'm really looking forward to the sequel so that I can experience the galaxies in a more challenging way :)

Super Mario Galaxy Challenge

So, as you all probably know, Super Mario Galaxy 2 is coming out soong :D :D :D :D :D :D
It isn't that long to wait, but yesterday at school I was thinking 'I REALLY want to relive the wonderful galaxies of the original, not in two months, NOW. Then I realized if I started playing it, I wouldn't have finished it by the time the sequel comes around.

So I have set myself my first big gaming challenge. I'm going to try and complete the original before the sequel comes out :P All 241 (?) stars.

That is all.

Rare Sonic Item!!!

&

Hey guys,

Today I'm writing to show off my awesome rare Sonic the Hedgehod Scouting woggle.
For those who don't know, a 'woggle' is a plastic item that holds together a scout scarf.

This item is a very rare piece of merchandise, and a must have for any sonic fan, whether you're a scout or not!
I've put it up on eBay, so if you're interested check it out here

Just thought you'd like to see it :)

Harvest Moon!

Hey Guys,

I've been in Scotland for the past week. Had a great time chilling with my grandparents. Unlike last year (where I climbed mountains and travelled all over the place), I dossed around the house playing video games and what not. I also saw a musical one day about Motown (dancing in the streets) which was awesome.

Main reason I made this blog was to express my opinion on Harvest Moon DS. I think this is a wicked game!
I bought Harvest Moon DS..what, 3 year ago when it first came out. I enjoyed it a lot, however I didn't play it for long.
After 3 years, I found it again. HOORAY! And from the minute I loaded up at that game again, I was addicted. I didn't play a single other game for the whole holiday.

I noticed the game got a pretty bad write up from Gamespot (5.5/10). This confused me a lot. They complained about little addition to the previous games. This is fair enough...however I have never played the previous games, therefore I found this very addictive and new. I also found the comment on the 'half baked touch-screen sections' pretty stupid. Number 1, I found them reasonably fun. But most of all, just because the DS has touch screen capabilities, does the game really have to be based around this factor? No, I do not think so at all.

I've enjoyed growing my crops, caring for my chickens and sheep, mining, harvesting, and all the rest. I'm currently edging to the end of Autumn, Year 1, and I'm looking forward to Year 2. Now that I've got my farm set up etc. I will be able to focus on winning the competitions, as well as finally getting a relationship.

I would highly recommend this game :) Really, it's great fun.

New thoughts on Sun, Flower and Rain

Hey guys,

If you look back at my last blog post, I had nothing but praise for the DS Adventure 'Sun, Flower and Rain'. However, after completing the second main puzzle, I realized how messy this game really is. The graphics are abstract and cool, the music is catchy, and the characters are mad :P The overall atmosphere of the game is very experimental, abstract and completely bonkers. However, the puzzles and the story line just doesn't work. Too many 'hidden meanings', too much text, it's all overly confusing.

I'm having trouble going back to this game. However, three nights ago, I booted up F.E.A.R! I bought that last year, but never got round to giving it a proper go. But now that I have, I can safely say it's great, creepy fun. I've missed playing FPS' over the years as they really are great fun. Review coming soon :)

Flower, Sun and Rain

Hey guys,

Last night, I started playing Flower, Sun and Rain on the DS.
That game got some pretty bad reviews, but ever since I first saw it, I have been intrigued by it.
It is DEFINITELY much better than these reviewers suggest. Agreed, it is VERY abstract, weird, and ridiculous at times. But this all adds up to make one hell of an original game.

The music is great, the characters are quirky and funny, and the plot is...well, I am not too far yet, but all I can say is it is weird, confusing, but definitely interesting.

It you haven't given this game a chance yet, please do. It's ridiculous fun!
