What's so funny about a bunch of people being disappointed? Did they do something mean to you?

Resistance_Kid

Popular company = Baseless hate.

First of all, every person in the world is entitled to their own opinion. Me thinking a game will fail is based on my opinion. I said that I think it will fail, I never said that I wanted it to. Pay attention to details. I personally want SC2 to be a success, and based on the comments here it will be. I just had a hunch that it would fail, no need to get all personal about it.

And why do you think it will fail? I'd love a list of points. Are the graphics so mediocre that it takes away from the gameplay? Are the controls construed to the point that you need to learn the genre all over again? Is the multiplayer a laggy mess that causes people to drop ever five seconds? Come on bud, give us a reason why you think it will fail. If you don't have a reason then just "your opinion" then this thread is either A) A poor attempt at trolling a popular game or B) You dislike the game and secretly wanting it to fail.

All I want is a BF game to go back to the immense battles that BF2 and 2142 had. BC2 is fun and all but it feels more like an arcade shooter then a true successor the BF2. Yes destructible environments are nice and all but when teamwork goes out the door because everyone is running around doing their own thing then it isn't the same as BF2.

[QUOTE="DanielDust"][QUOTE="HFkami"]

no big sales are only if something does not sell well, thats why everything was off. Seems like PC gaming in sommer is completely dead.

HFkami

Again spreading misinformation, gaming in general is dead in summer on every platform, making a big sale that includes some games that were just released =/= they have problems with the sales, why do they make Christmas sales that are huge compared to this new summer sale? Christmas is dead in terms of sales right?...stick to what you know, you obviously have little to no experience with Steam or PC gaming.

i have more experience about PC gaming than you think and sure more than you. Just in the way you think that everyone has to suck every program that comes out is in the market is not *personal computer gaming*

I have no idea what you are talking about. Yes, I purchase the majority of games on Steam due to convenience and the built in features that it provides. I also purchase from Impulse, GoG, and D2D depending on what I want and the price. As well, Steam sales don't mean a game isn't selling. A lot of companies will do it to get more exposure and when word of mouth kicks in it ends up meaning more sales/profit for them in the end. Add in the fact that publishers don't have to pay for the logistical side of things as they don't need transport/media to deliver the game anymore, a sale doesn't hamper their ability to turn a profit. So please, as much as you may game on the PC you should really look at all sides of things before spewing such non-sense.

man, if LOTRO has laughable PVP then no point playing the game..i wonder why its so famous.. Without good PvP component, its better to play offline games like Dragon Origin

And from ur opinions, i gues there is no GOOD mmorpgs.

Or is it that WoW has set the bar too high?

kinda downer for me, was expecting to buy a good MMORPG for a change from WoW

mikael_schiffer
If you are looking for a strong PVP based game I'd recommend EVE online. It's graphics are some of the best out there in MMO standards, it has a very indepth market/economy, and is a very unforgiving game when it comes to PVP. Like that new ship you just purchased and decide to fly into a pirate (player controlled) area then either A) You can fend them off or B) Enjoy the taste of goop as your clone awakes.

if you liek to buy a car thats worth 10 000 at 50000 and say its not a waste because you enjoy the car then i guess you made your point

khanabyss25
How the heck does that analogy even work? It's on sale, which means instead of paying 50,000 for a car you instead pay 10,000. This means that you are getting more value from your purchase and thus, less waste. Trust me, I hate the game with a passion (Day 1 purchase for I and my GF) but if someone enjoys it then they have not wasted their money. Too bad you want to dictate other peoples opinions for your own vendetta.

[QUOTE="Cdscottie"]You know, I may be the odd man out here but I personally don't give a rats *** about graphics in the end. What matters to me is if the gameplay/story is good and if they can provide that to me I'll be happy. Yes we may be getting a watered down version due to the catering towards the console audience but if the game is good, the game is good. As PC Gamers, we should play games that we enjoy and not just worry about the graphics/technical side of things.Rheorin
Sounds reasonable enough. Unfortunately, most of today's gamers probably won't feel that way. Why do you think there's so much system wars topics with fans fighting over which exclusive looks the best? It's everywhere on the net. In almost every website dedicated to gaming. In fact, the biggest selling point of Crysis 1 was not the "absolutely amazing gameplay", it was graphics. So, as much as I'd love to see the good old "gameplay first" concept back in action in the minds of this generation's gamers, I really don't see it happening.

I agree that graphics are now becoming the forethought of the current generation. This is the same reason why Michael Bay is making so much money. Cool graphics, lots of explosions, and paper thin plots sell......sadly.

and why do you guys ignore pretty much everything the pc offers other than multiplats and console ports? Im not talking about everyone, but 90% of the people here dont seem like pc gamers at all.

TerrorRizzing
I don't know what you are talking about. Sure MMO's are everyone's cup of tea so you will have people comment on them but the majority of this board has either played MMO's in the past or continues to play MMO's. As for multiplatform, there are so many badly optimized and feature stricken that we should complain as if we don't we will never see any changes.

Alright, this is probably the best thing to do is to test both your Internet connection and see your actual computer specs. Once tested, please post both findings here so we may help you troubleshoot your issue.

Internet Speed Test: http://www.speedtest.net/

Computer Specs: http://www.systemrequirementslab.com

For the computer specs, go to the website and select any game. It should prompt you several times to install/run some software, accept it all and then record all of the information. Once done, post both findings here and we will see what could be causing your issue.

When they start making Microsoft Combat Flight Simulators again...then I will trust Microsoft

mrbojangles25
Thank you. I thought I was the only one out there that missed the old CFS series. Come on Microsoft, Freelancer 2, CFS 3, and create another Rise of Nations. For the love of god, you can actually make money on those three franchises.....
