Befana is coming!

Hi everybody! So, what's up in this new year? Are you all fine? I hope so. My trip to Wien for new year's eve was simply amazing and I will remember it for the rest of my life! :) We had so much fun! We were just six, but in the end we realized it was the perfect number. Wien of course is a really beautiful city and all the lights they put for the great evening were awesome! 8) You can take a look at the pictures on my blog http://caterina-cenina.blogspot.com

Today is Befana! Epiphany, to be correct, when the biblical Magi visited little Jesus after his birth. It's national holiday here in Italy and we have this weird character of Befana to celebrate it. She is an old and ugly lady, travelling with her flying broomstick and delivering sweets in the socks of good children or coal for bad children eheh. I've been good I swear lol! She's like Santa Claus, but she works on 6th of January, not for Christmas.

I still didn't catch up with all my not seen episodes eheh :P because I have no time! Damn! So I've decided that I will not longer watch few shows, because I don't really love them like the others. For example Fringe. I was expecting so much from this show and I don't like it at all. Or 90210...the original one was way better!

Scrubs is coming back and I'm so happy about it! Can't wait :D

I should study in these days because in theory I have an exam next week, a very big and important exam, but I also have to help my parents in their job and so I think I will skip this exam...next time maybe. We have a lot of work to do for family business. I don't know if you remember but we have a web site (www.casacenina.com) and January and February will be very busy for us. In fact I'm going with my parents to California in two weeks in order to improve our business, and next month we will be in Paris for a very big show. I hope to write a new post before I leave.

Take care.

Ciao! :)

Great weekend!

Hi everybody! How are you all? I'm great. I spent a really nice weekend! :D My parents are in Barcelona, Spain, and they're coming back home tonight. It was their 25th anniversary yesterday, nozze d'argento, which it may be silver wedding anniversary in english I guess :P So I've been alone for thw whole weekend and I organized a big party at my place with all my friends (my parents knew about it, don't worry :P ). It was awesome, we had a great time. And then yesterday snowed and it was beautiful! I played out in the snow with my dogs :) Today is sunny and snow went away. I'm sad about it, because I love snow, but it's better this way. Tonight I have to drive till the airport to pick up my parents and I would like clean road, it's safer :P

I really don't understand this website's changing: yesterday I reached level 12 and today I'm back at 11! What's wrong?!?! Incredible!

Tomorrow I'm leaving!!! I'm going to Wien for new year's eve, as I already told yuo, and I can't wait. So I guess that I'll write a new blog when I come back home, next year lol :D Happy new year! Buon anno! Don't drink too much!!! :P Have fun! Talk to you soon!

Ciao

Buon Natale!

Hi everyone!!! How are you all? I didn't visit tv.com during December and now that I come back I see it changed again, one more time! I guess they have really nothing to do but bother us! :P

Anyway, sorry if I wasn't around lately but I had three exams in one month and I didn't have time for a new post... now exams are over for 2008 fortunatelly :) and I'm mentally preparing for the 2009 exams :?

So, I saw that my last post was about my weekend in Austria. It seems like years ago! It was a great weekend and I'm going to Austria again for new year's eve, but this time I will be in Wien. Can't wait! I'm going with my friends and I'm sure it will be awesome! 8) What are you organizing for that long night?

I now have a new laptop! Thank you daddy :P So I hope to visit the website more often!

I'm catching up with all my missed shows. I've watched House, Grey's Anatomy, Bones, Private Practice, Dexter and CSI. I reduced the 50 and more episodes to about 25. Not bad :P

I'm now going to read your blogs, promise!

Happy Christmas for now, Buon Natale to everyone...or Happy Holidays, as you prefer :P

Ciao :)

Weekend in Austria

Hi everyone! I'm still using med library computers because I think that I will not get a new laptop here in Florence till next year :P

Anyway, I did my Anatomy II exam and I got 27/30 :D very good mark for such a difficult subject, so I'm really happy about it :D Now I'm studying for my next exam, and I'm realizing that it's almost Christmas time here, but I don't feel at all Christmas, I'm too busy and I have too many things to do! I hope to find at least the time to buy few presents! :P Oh, by the way, happy Thanksgiving to all the americans in this website. Did you eat enough yesterday? :)

I'm going to Austria tomorrow with my parents. They're going to visit a co-worker in Klagenfurt and I will go with them. Just a couple of days, so I can take a break from studyng and see snow. I wasn't home this year for the first snow, last Monday, and I was really sorry about it because I love snow and I love my house with snow :)

I haven't watched any show yet  I guess we are near winter break for shows, right? Well, I will catch up during Dicember...I hope :? I thing I left behind me something like 50 episodes or more :? I will need a whole week in front of the computer to catch up

 A friend just came into the med library with a broken umbrella LOL He's really mad  Weather is terrible today. He says hi to you all  Ciao from the angry Marco with no umbrella anymore LOL :D

Have a nice weekend guys!

Ciao! :)

Waiting for the exam...

Hi everyone! I'm here at the med library because my laptop hasn't been replaced yet :( I'm studying hard but now I really needed a break so here I am.

Anatomy II exam was programmed for last Tuesday, but professors decided to do it next week. I'm in position number 194 :? and so I have to wait till next Wednesday or Thursday  It may sound good, so I have much more time for studying, but actually it's a tragedy because I now have less time for the next two exams, biochemistry I and genetic I...without talking about the terrible exam of istology next January  My brain is near to another explosion as you can imagine! :?

Anyway, today is my father's birthday! So happy birthday to him! Auguri babbo :D

I have to confess a terrible thing: I didn't watch at all tv shows in the past two weeks :? Bad, bad me! Just House eheh, I watched House, how couldn't I? :P I hope to catch up with all my favs soon...after the anatomy exam of course! And hopefully next weekend I will read all your blogs.

Ciao for now :D

My laptop died...R.I.P.

So, yeah, my laptop died last week  it made this weird complaining sound and then it turned off by itself :( My father (computer programmer) did everything he could to fix it, but nothing...it died  So now I have no computer or laptop in Florence. I guess I have to use med library computers or iPhone if I want to check my e-mails and everything. Of course I will use my computer when I come back home during weekends, but it will not be the same! :(

Anyway, new oil is really really good :D We had a great dinner last Sunday with just bread and new oil :D

Last thursday I went to Milan and I went with a friend of mine to see Simple Plan concert. Do you know Simple Plan? It's been a really nice concert and we had a lot of fun. :D

Sorry if I don't write anything more or if I don't read all your blogs, but now I really have to catch the train and go back to Florence...with no laptop! Damn! I hope to talk to you soon!

Ciao for now and have a nice week! :)

Hugh Laurie's hips don't lie!

Ahahaha! I'm sick, so I have nothing to do but spend my entire time in front of the computer doing...basically nothing! Yesterday I had a fever and I was pretty bad, especially because I didn't have a fever in years :? Now I'm fine but I can't do much anyway, it's better stay quite here in the bed and waiting to be good again. So, during this my "doing nothing" period, I found out this funny video about Hugh Laurie in one of his performance in the Band from TV. Check it out !

Tomorrow we're making olive oil!!! Yeah!!! :D Great day! Okay, I actually don't know how you say in English and I don't wanna look in the dictionary, but you understood right? :P For the whole week they "collected" olives (I have about 100 olive trees) and tomorrow my dad will go to the oil mill. It means that tomorrow evening we're going to have the most wonderful dinner ever: tuscany bread with brand new olive oil. 8) You, know, when oil is just made, it's so green and spicy mmmm

I have nothing more to say, I just needed to spend some more time because I don't know what to do besides sleeping

Have a nice Sunday!

Ciao :D

Thank God Americans voted! So now we can go back to our stuff

Finally! I couldn't resist anymore! For months all we talked about: American elections. Of course I'm interested and I care about their vote, because it's an important thing for the whole world, but it was too much! I almost thought I had to vote! I wanna know what's happening in the USA and I like to be informed, but I do not need the live report! They're going to talk and talk and talk in the next few days about the results, and what will be, what could have been etc. but then finally stop! Also because there are so many things going on here that we really need to change the news principal subject.

Anyway, sorry for this my little political digression. I didn't tell you yet about the amazig lesson of last week! Nobel prize winner Louis Ignarro is an incredibile person and I do not wonder anymore why not everyone can win the Nobel prize: you have to be a genius, and he is a damn genius. No metaphors, the simple truth. He has something more than us...at least more than me for sure ;) Maybe I am much more modest, but hey, he won the Nobel, he's allowed to be the opposite of modesty 8) His lesson wasn't a normal lesson, I mean he didn't talk at all as a professor. He didn't explain anything teorical or difficult. He didn't even talk about medical stuff! He just told us his life. And he had quite a life! His CV is eight pages long, no kidding! He's actually italian, father from Naples and mother from Sicily, even if he was born in USA. Actually don't trust wikipedia, because his name is very italian: Luigi Giuseppe, not Luois J. And I'm proud of this thing 8) He told us about himself, what he liked when he was a kid, all the people he met, what he felt winning the Nobel prize and how his life is now. He was honest and funny, clear and simple in his words. By the way, I did not use the headphones for translation (he spoke in english) and I felt very professional for that :P He is a man I've been honoured to have met!

Tomorrow is the big day!

Hi everyone! I didn't visit at all tv.com in the last weeks and I'm sorry I didn't read all your blogs, I hope to do it soon. It's just that I've been so damn busy that I don't even have the time to watch all my favourite shows :? and that's baaaad!!! There's a lot of studying going on, I've met many new friends at university, and I've started basketball (I'm having a lot of fun :P ). So my agenda is pretty full in this period. I have to say that I miss this site :P

Anyway, thank you for all your comments on my last post, I really appreciated it :) My birthday party was awesome. It was a really beautiful day and all my friends were so happy for the wonderful party I had organized. :) Good :)

So, tomorrow is the big day! The Nobel Prize will come to our university for a lesson! I'm really excited about it! :D I hope to write something during the week end so I will tell you about this special lesson.

Ciao!

Nobel and Birthday

Hi everyone! First of all I'm sorry if I didn't read all your blogs yet, but it has been a really busy week between university, study and this terrible sore throat that is not going away after three days

Yesterday our anatomy teacher told us a really great news: on the 30th of October Nobel prize in Medicine in 1998 Ignarro is going to attend a lesson here in our anatomy department. :D :D :D I know that in the United States universities have Nobel prize winners as regular teachers, but we don't, at all, even if many italians won Nobel prize they live outside Italy, In USA most of the times. I'm not wondering why...Anyway, great news for us, I'm really excited, can't wait :)

TOMORROW IS MY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Evviva!!!! 20 years! Goodbye teenagers! All my friends are coming for lunch. Lunch and not dinner because it is Sunday and many of us (included me) have to go back to their university cities in the evening. So I'm organizing a big barbecue (there will be more than 20 people!). Weather is amazing in thes days and so we will probably cook outside.

Thank you Tom! I really appreciated your message yesterday! :D

Have a great weekend! I promise I will check out your blogs as soon as I can!

Ciao
