Start talking is tiring!

Hi everyone! :) Yesterday has been a great day! My grandfather was really happy for the big birthday lunch we had organized :D The only bad thing was the weather: at some point during the morning it started raining and it poured for the most part of the day :? We've been without electricity three or four time, it hasn't been a pleasure :? Today there was again sun, but the temperature is a little bit reduced, really nice :)

Anyway, it's more than a week now that my little cousin is here at my place. He's starting talking and now he repeats pretty much everything you say to him  He's so funny! It's amazing how fast kids of that age learn new things! He now recognizes everyone of the family, he knows our names, and everyday there are three new words at least that he repeats no stop over and over  He's not talking so well, I mean, you can understand what he's saying by the sound, but he can't spell correctly  And then sometimes there are words that he really likes and he can go on also for ten minutes with the same word! At the end of the day he is so tired and confused that he talks without logic, he just says random words  But he doesn't give up, even when a word is very difficult he tries anyway to say it :P Thinking about it reminded me when I first started speaking english, the first words, different sounds. You know, when you have no idea of what you are saying but it's the right way to say it in order to make others understand you. I don't know if I explained myself, but that's the idea :P

Just watched the 100 m finale! MY GOD! It's all I have to say  Bolt has been simply amazing! 9 seconds and 69, can you believe it??? He didn't even run so fast because he slowed down in the end 8) I love this athlete, especially because he is so young and very relaxed about contests. That's the good way to be if you want to have fun with sports. I really hope he run clean and sober :P without using any drugs or else because in my opinion he's great :)

Ferragosto

Today is national holiday here in Italy! In fact today is Ferragosto, a very old celebration day in the Roman Empire, that then became a religious holiday; by now it is basically a day to escape from the too hot cities in the middle of the summer (anyway, if you want to learn more about it check it out on wikipedia ). So no work today, total relax, giant lunch with all the relatives, celebration of my grandfather's birthday (it was yesterday actually, but as the big days coincide... :P ). By the way, the luch we have organized is enough for his present: all the family will be here, there will be also his grandson (he is great-grandfather, do you still say grandson or is there another word? maybe great-grandson? ). They are going to be here for the whole day, drinking and laughing  He should be really happy :D And then of course there are presents for him :)

Unfortunately the weather is not so great by now :? I woke up and there were few clouds in the sky. They say it might rain  No problem at all for me, but I guess that it will be a big problem for all those families out for picnics :?

So, buon Ferragosto :D and eat a lot of watermelon (Ferragosto is watermelon's day  )!

Have a great weekend! :)

Ciao

It's Olympics time!

Yes! :D Olympics started yesterday with an amazing opening cerimony. Really beautiful, with lots of fireworks, well they invented them :P Everything went well fortunately :) I sat on the sofa and stayed there all the afternoon, something that I'm going to do very often during the next days :P Few things to notice about the opening cerimony:

- Was it just my impression or Bush and wife had the smallest USA flag existing in this world?! :P

- My compliments to all that chinese dancing and playing because it really impressed me how coordinated they were, so many people and not even one out of time, amazing :D

- Of course italian had to be recognized somehow :P the last athletes of our team in fact danced and mixed up with the team behind, so typical of us :P

- I didn't like very much the first speech, very hypocritical, while I liked much more the second one by Jacques Rogge.

- Were the soldiers commanded by a computer or what? They didn't look like human beings, but more like robots, incredible.

Anyway, China already won a couple of gold medals, of course. It will be very hard for the USA this year. In our little part, Italy won a silver medal in road racing :D with Rebellin

Little satisfaction

Hi everybody! I hope your week is going well :)

Last Tuesday my parents went to Milan visiting friends of us. I unfortunately had to stay home because my grandfather (by the way I still have to decide about his present :P ) is staying at our house in these weeks and so we couldn't leave him alone for a whole day, he's pretty old :P My parents went to visit this couple of friends, they're from Croatia but they live in Milan from many years now. The man had a heart transplant last April. He stayed in the hospital for almost two months, and even when he went back home we couldn't visit him because he needed to do a very hard rehab. But he is eventually fine. To be honest he's great :D My mother said he looked like reborn, a brand new man, considering the hard times he had in the past year. I'm so happy for him, he's an amazing person and he still so young, he deserved it. I called them and I can say that by his voice sound, he's doing great :D

Now, about my blog title, the other night I was watching tv, and it happened to see an old episode of House, Occam's razor s01e03, and I was so happy :D Yes, because I really understood what they were talking about. All that medical stuff, diseases and drugs, I knew them :D Because I'm now actually studying all these things, and even if they always explain the disease in every episode, this time I actually knew the how and the why :D :D :D I know it is a silly thing, I mean many know that stuff, but it was really a little satisfaction for me. It means I'm doing good, even if sometimes it's very boring and difficult :)

I just wanted to share this little happy moments with you :) Be good!

Ciao :)

Busy week

Hi everybody! It's been a really busy week. My mother went to the sea with my little cousin and my grandmother, while I stayed home with my father. So I had to take care of the dogs and the cat, the house...my dad... He's such a lazy man! He doesn't do anything in the house, everything has been on me during these days. One night I went to the cinema and I told him: "Hey dad look, I'm going to be late, I have no time to clean the table and the kitchen tonight, could you do that?" nothing impossible to afford in my point of view. But when I came back home, it was 1 am and he didn't even clean the table! Men, a weird species!

Anyway, I went to the cinema and I saw The Dark Knight. I really liked it. It was great. To be honest it was the first Batman movie for me  I know, embarassing, but this kind of movie never inspired me so much. I liked it though. maybe it was a little bit too long, but still amazing :)

I'm now watching a lot of One Tree Hill. I've almost finished the fourth season :) I like it :)

Now, I need you to tell me what I could buy for my grandfather's birthday. He will be 87! I have not one single idea for his present. I think he doesn't even expect a present, but it's his birthday, and a small present would be great for him.

Ciao :)

Music days and countryside

Hi you all! :)

So, I've seen that you appreciated the commercial with Hugh Laurie  Next commercial they do I will put the video again :)

It's been a really good week :) Last wednesday was my friend Simona's birthday and we had a lot of fun. After dinner we went in the city center and we listened to a couple of groups playing. In these days in Arezzo there is Play Art , an event with music for the whole week. So we sat on the cathedral's stairs listening to music. There was this group we didn't know, and we didn't like at all their music. At some point one of my friends said: "Who the hell is this boring group?". A guy, three or four steps below us, looked at him very badly :? We even started making fun of this group because the singer said "I will not be offended if you leave the square during my next song because maybe you will not understand it and you will think that it sucks, but I love it and I will sing it anyway. I will forgive you if you leave". So we said "Wow! She has a really conceited behaviour!". At the end of the show we then realized that the singer was L'Aura. She is a pretty famous italian singer :P Seriously, she's famous, and I also liked a lot one of her song. But that song I liked was the only one actually popular. The rest of her cd...well...is not so great :P Poor figure  Anyway, tonight there will be Ben Harper :D

Yesterday I went to the concert of my friends' band: Malades du reve . They finally recorded their own cd, after a year looking for money :D

I have my copy with their signatures, in case they become famous ;) On my way back home I had to stop the car twice. The first time because a hind was in the middle of the street. She was really big, and stared at me for about thirty seconds. She was so scared she couldn't even move, but in the end she ran in the fields. Then, after just few metres, I stopped again because exactly when I was passing by, mother hedgehog decided to let her little puppies cross the road, and so they were diligently in single file behind her. :) I love live in the countrside

Have a nice week end!

Hugh Laurie and Mickey Mouse

There is this commercial on the tv here in Italy, about some new channel on the cable. There are Hugh Laurie, Uma Thurman and Ibrahimovic (soccer player). There's also the shadow of Mickey Mouse, because the commercial is about Disney Channel on this cable. I love this commercial, especialy in the end, when Hugh Laurie put on his head the bread ears LOL

It's a small image I know, but I couldn't find one bigger.

If you want to watch the commercial HERE there is the video. :)

Ok I just wanted let you know :P

Ciao

Little explanation because, you're right, you don't know italian :P So...this tv company has now the right to show Disney Channel in its channel list. House is basically the most watched show here in Italy and that's why there's Hugh Laurie, and Ibrahimovic... the only sport we practice here is soccer :P Then Uma Thurman representative for movies and more. In this sketch they're talking about the new entry, Mickey Mouse: Ibrahimovic loves him, Uma Thurman doesn't like him at all, Hugh Laurie doesn't care :) So Thurman speaks badly about Mickey Mouse and then they see him and she says "Do you think he heard me?" and Hugh Laurie (with bread ears  ) "What do you think?!" :D

Pink night and designated drivers

On friday there was the Pink Night, a night dedicated to women. So there were all the shops open for the whole night, discounts for the women at cinemas, fireworks, shows and concerts all over town. I didn't know about it :P a friend told me of this event just friday afternoon. Anyway, we've decided to have dinner all together and spend the night walking around. There were so many people we couldn't even walk  It was a really great night, we had a lot of fun :D ...in the beginning  . Yes, because some girls of the group drunk too much. Generally it's not a big deal, but this time they had their cars (= parents' cars), and we definitely couldn't let them drive home. So we had to organize somehow and drive them home, including their cars. Guess what if the parents wake up the following morning and don't find the car in front of the house :P We were three sobers (also me), two totally drunk girls (one also fell asleep while she was walking  ) and a guy, sober but without driver licence, so useless. We kind of fought on how we should have driven them, because three drivers and five cars don't actually match. We drove them home in the end, with their cars. No problems at all, it was just annoying, and boring drive slowly (we didn't want them to vomit :P ) to and fro in the middle of the night. But we did, because it was the right thing to do. :) Great night anyway, drunk people are so funny  They don't remember almost anything, and we sobers of the group had so much fun telling them all the stupid things they said and did LOL

About studying I've decided that I will postpone my exam. I really don't want to study now, I'm too lazy and I enjoy more the sun 8) So next exam in September. It doesn't mean that I will not study at all during August, but I will be for sure more relaxed and this is good :)

I have just three episodes left of Bones. Then I will wait for the fourth season. It's incredible how fast I became addicted to this show. I've watched the first two seasons in italian, and I could then wait September to watch also the third in italian, but I couldn't wait so long :P It's a show that I love, and I can even say that it is now on my top five shows list :)

Momix

Hi everyone! Last night I went to the Momix show in Florence, at Boboli's Gardens. It was a really great show. I loved them :D

I went with my parents and my aunt. We thought that it was going to rain, because there was this big grey cloud, but in the end there was just a little fresh wind...We were lucky :P Here a picture of Boboli.

After the show we then stopped at Piazzale Michelangelo and we enjoyed the wonderful panorama of the city :) It's been a really beautiful evening :)

Valencia

My friends and I booked our holiday! Yeah! 8) To be honest I thought that we would organize something at last minute, as usual. I didn't know why, but for holidays we always had trubles because it's really rare that everyone agrees on the program. Last year we went around Europe by train, we were just three girls (parents in total panic  ) even if in the beginning we were like seven, and we organized it a week before the departure :? So this year I was surprised, in a good way :) We are going to Valencia, Spain, in September. There was this special flight offert and we bought the tickets for just 38 euros :D We were three, Vanessa, Giorgia and I, but this morning also Martina said that she is coming :) and maybe we can convince another person or two to come :) And I realized why in the past there were so many problems about booking an holiday. In fact I think that just two persons are necessary, two persons that decided where to go, when and how. Others can then be lazy and say yes or no, so that they have to organize nothing. Because organize a trip means waste time and people don't like it. It's not fair, but if you wanna go somewhere and be sure of it it's the only way. So Vanessa told me (because she knows that I act without too many thoughts) that there was this offer, and she said "I wanna go, what do you think?". Of course I said "why not?" and the same day we booked. Last saturday it was just her and me, and now we are already four! I think it will be fun! I knew basically nothing about Valencia, I dind't even know where exactly it is in Spain, but I looked for infos and it seems nice! So, yeah, good decision. More over I looked for another trip we could do while we are there: a day trip to Madrid by train. It would be great, because the train trip is really short, just three hours (I didn't imagine that :) ), and it's not even too expensive. Could be great spend a day in Madrid. I will talk to my friends and decide, even if I think that one of them would say no because she may spend too much. But, what the hell, we go to Spain and we have the opportunity to spend a day in the capital city, 20 more euros is not impossible! But this is my way to think, so I'm not sure they say yes. I will try anyway! :D

I am so bored and lazy in these days that I didn't start studying again. I will this afternoon (I hope :? ). It's just that I'm not able to concentrate... :( I'm tired I guess. And more over I have a really bad headache almost every day from February by now. So in the past weeks I went to doctors and yesterday I had a CAT. They told me that I have a type of cephalea and I now have to go to a neurologist :(

Anyway, have a great week! :)
