Nintendo release a mario platformer every so often and are attacked for unoriginality yet CoD get's all the plaudits. Hmm.

True. MW3 gets an 8.5 for creating a game with tracing paper. Playing through Skyward Sword recently and I cannot figure how they gave it a 7.5 when you consider that.

Well that explains it then. I'll tell the Ancient Grecians who came up with the term and all those who have used it incorrectly ever since to describe the western culture that since spread to North America and Australia that they were wrong when they originated it because on a thread on a messageboard in 2012 someone interpreted people's responses to being mostly United States based so the west is obviously exclusively United States.

Its staggering that you've never come across the West as not referring specifically to the united states before. It's not exactly a niche term.

I've played on and enjoyed every single major platform this gen and I can say the same for the last one too. So I suppose the one constant I have always done has been the PC, as I've been gaming on it for two decades.

It's about the games not the platforms anyway.
