As a literature student, or somebody planning to take literature at university next year, grades permitting, I really should read more. Recently though I've been reading like a goddamned machine.
Over the last few weeks I have read :

Hunter S. Thompson : Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas
Jon Ronson : The Men Who Stare at Goats
Chuck Palahniuk : Fight Club
Chuck Palahniuk : Lullaby
Chuck Palahniuk : Diary
Chuck Palahniuk : Choke
Chuck Palahniuk : Non-fiction

Chuck Palahniuk is an author I would recommend to anybody, his books are very easy to read and youre guaranteed to learn some interesting facts from it. That and the fact that they all have fantastic stories. Even given that if you have seen the film 'Fight Club' the story pretty much matches up exactly it's still worth reading. Non-fiction is a series of magazine articles that he wrote, and if you are new to the author I wouldn't reccomend this, or Choke, the least gripping of the novels I have read, but his works are well worth a look... provided yoiu like to read.

So it goes like this...

I return to the town and me and these ninjas, we start fighting like crazy, kunais bouncing off my rippling chest as I fight them all with my bare hands. After a few days we all start getting a little tired, the ninja forces are running out of steam and although I still had immaculate hair so was I. A thought siddenly entered my head, or village had survived in it's rural way of life because of it's two natural resources, our Vodka trees and our Orange trees.
So I meet with the head ninja and I say,
'I will readily die for my beliefs, and what I feel is right'
I could tell he respected me, then I said,
'And RIGHT now, I believe it's time to party !'

So we all sat around drinking screwdrivers until we passed out.

As of the coming Monday I will be taking leave of the forums for upto a fortnight. I recently recieved word that the ninjas have returned to my hometown and are threatening the womenfolk, I have to once more don my costume, something which I vowed never to do since the last time.

Aside from video gaming one of my hobbies is art, the appreciation and creation of, today I sat down and felt like painting so I did this...



I drew it out in pencil first and then just painted over the areas I wanted shaded, i't looks a little worse as a scanned image because the intense light seems to have bought out the pencil marks but I'm still pretty pleased with it, now I just need to work out which boards I can post it on.
