To be honest I don't really think Valve has it in them to innovate any further.
All of the content they've been putting out isn't really anything "new". Man vs Machine is the same survival/horde mode that's been in every multiplayer FPS since the 360 first came out... and DOTA2 is literally the same game remade that's already been remade three or four times. L4D2 was just an iterative improvement over L4D1, which is really the last creative project they've participated in- nothing at all innovative since late 2008.
@glez13 They tried very hard to make an SP game. However, none of the publishers would take them up on it and they didn't have the money to do it themselves.
Hopefully MWO is successful and more mech games come out.
Zynga won't even RISK taking this case on, if it turns out you can sue them for copycat games they'd be dead in two weeks. Its the only kind of games they have, they'd be sued by everyone.
@whoobs110 Yes a game wiht those flaws gets a 7.5 because:
Creepy and unique modern-day setting invites you to explore Intricate writing and lore entries draw you into the ongoing narrative Investigation quests are an intellectual change of pace Open-ended combat system allows for experimentation Fantastic sound design.
