1) There is no definite "winner" of 'this gen' so it is futile to keep arguing for one console as the winner.

2) The Wii has surpassed GameCube sales, so even if the Wii doesn't "win" so to speak it is still a success for Nintendo, especially considering the immense profit Nintendo makes on each console (relative to the amount of money the other console makers get from each console).

You could just by rechargeable batteries? The 360 has the rechargeable battery packs and for the Wii you can buy rechargeable AA batteries.

That kinda defeats your point... not in its entirety, but definitely makes it a much, much, much smaller issue.

[QUOTE="Hitman_887"]

I am not being a troll or anything.:|

"Overall, the PlayStation 3 outputs visuals that are either on par with the Xbox 360 or only slightly behind."

This also means that gamespot is basically saying that the PS3 doesnt output better graphics than the 360.They are simply passing it off as fact based on only multiplats and I just find it unfair on the part of gamespot.

Ninja-Hippo

No it means that it hasn't, and doesn't. Not that it cannot.

Agreed. I'm not trying to pull for any specific console, but I'm definitely not a fan of twisting innocuous statements into weapons for system wars.

Also, keep in mind that "better" is traditionally a subjective term, not objective. Your buddy might like PS3 exclusives better than 360 exclusive games while you like the opposite.

First of all, I think it's safe to say that most (if not all) of these games were designed with the 360 first and then ported over to the PS3. Even if they were designed on the PS3 first, it would not have been ground-up for the PS3 with its unique architecture because of the need to port them across to the 360 and such later on. Thus what Eddie-Vedder said is correct. Look to the PS3-exclusive games that have been built ground-up on the PS3 after the developers have become adept at the PS3's architecture, not just competent.

Good things come to those who wait, or so the saying goes.

Second of all, I agree with the people saying that it wasn't said the PS3 couldn't output better graphics, just that it hasn't.

There's a different feel to Oblivion. Personally, I prefer Morrowind to Oblivion because Morrowind feels a bit better-paced and deeper, at least to me. Even then though, Oblivion is an amazing game and definitely worth the purchase. It just might not be your cup of tea, perhaps, to the extent that Morrowind is.

The ideas behind StarCraft and Warcraft are bound to be similar. For one thing they are both from the same company. Also, they both use ideas that appeal to people. It's like how Harry Potter and Star Wars both follow the hero cycle. In fact, many other stories do too. Or how romantic comedies always have the part where the protagonist couple finds something unpleasant about the other and "break up" until they are reconciled and come back together in a grand manner.

Many things in this world are exactly the same, only with a new coat of paint on it. Don't get all excited that you've found some sort of conspiracy or something. It's all around you.

I have a pretty old computer with a PTGD1-LA Grouper motherboard and I've been trying to see if I can find a way to get the LGA775 socket it has to support Core2Duo processors with a bios upgrade.

Now, I have no problem getting a new motherboard completely, but I'd really like to get this old one working like that you know? I love tweaking. In any case, I'm looking at this:

Type: BIOS Version: 3.28 (10 May 2006) Operating System(s): Microsoft Windows XP File name: sp26760.exe (1.2 MB)

http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareDescription.jsp?swItem=pv-40497-1&lang=en&cc=us&idx=1&mode=4&

Does anybody know if it would support Core2Duo processors? The website there says it updates the bios so it supports newer processors, but I don't know if that would include the Core2Duo architecture as well.

By the way, is there any scan or program to test for processor compatibility, or just generally get bios information?

Calm down... it's just the combined opinion of the editoris. OPINION.

For your opinion, the reader's choice stuff is there.

That's what I think.

I'd say it's definitely worth picking up. Although it is kinda old... still, it'll be a good bit of fun. And there are still TONS of people that play Starcraft online. So go for it, I say.
