Now there's a first, I've never heard anyone call Uncharted "ugly" before. Are you being serious because in all honesty I just can't believe it. Are you also suggesting that Gears 3 looks better? Gears 3 does, and I've played both betas. Gears of war 3 looked miles better. And he's correct, in the beta Uncharted 3 looked down right UGLY at points. http://i1236.photobucket.com/albums/ff448/Darkener33/IMG_0641.jpg[QUOTE="xX0LDSCH00LXx"]don't know about UC3 though graphics are kind of inconsistent to the point of beingdown right ugly at times.

that's a little differnt for the way you were describing it before, but I don't see how this is a knock against it's graphics
How does what you said affect what you SEE being rendered on the screen? The knoledge of what you know may happen behind the sceens make the graphics worse for you?
I really don't get that logic.
All I know is whats being rendered looks better than anything I've seen on consoles (alot of PC titles as well) the method isn't an issue of the actual graphics. I could easily knock GeoW for using Unreal mesh technology which uses low poly models to make up characters, but the knoledge of me knowing this doesn't change the fact that what I see looks impressive and on par with games that use alot higher poly models--get my point?

Gears does that, and God of war doesn't. God of war uses the method I showed and gears doesn't. That is my point, which was that different games use different techniques to allow the game to increase LOD. What i'm saying is that God of war 3 uses small moveable environments as a sacrfice to gain those amazing textures etc. Gears 3 has large open battlefields and so does Battlefield, at other costs. Therefore they are not comparable as easily in my eyes
Gears 3 manages far more technical feats basically. It has the same detailed textures with 4 player co-op, tons of enemies on the screen and environmental being any less linear would be open world RPG. Epic even went the extra mile and made there bosses non-scripted and dynamic. Not even God of war 3 does that, and bosses are a huge part of its game play. Also, I believe Gears of war 3 is the best looking game on consoles. I have no doubt about this. It does it in a non linear (Mostly) and non scripted fashion. Allowing the use of 4-5 team mates. With tons of enemies coming at you. It also does it well, and what I mean it doesn't have tons of issues like Crysis 2.[QUOTE="casharmy"]

I never aim to insult anyone nor to start an argument, I base my speech on cold facts. The game does not render everything in the same level is all I am trying to say. It de-loads the area you are not in, for example once you first get the claws of hades, you get to test your powers in a small room. This room then locks you out and loads hordes of enemies. The area you fought hades in then dissappears and re-loads once you finish the fight as you are travelling underwater.

I´m not getting any of them.

Ditto. Strange as it sounds, I'm just not that interested in Uncharted or Gears.
I know that may sound like blasphemy to some people on these boards.
It's the scripted stuff I don't like.
If Uncharted single-player was more about exploration, and less of a movie, I would definitely be more interested.
Same with Gears.
What? If Gears was any less scripted and linear it'd be open world RPG. Hell Epic went to a whole new level making all there bosses non-scripted and completely dynamic.Neither. Time to move on, folks.Genesis-XNo Resistance can die. We need Insomniac to go back to there roots.
Wait, what do you mean? Who's calling Spyro what?Spyro.
Not even mention that **** that they're calling Spyro to me.
