[QUOTE="Zeviander"]1. Nintendo first party games. 2. Nintendo hardware reliability. 3. A new input device that is the first of it's kind on a home console. 4. Backwards compatibility with all Wii games and peripherals. 5. Remote play that doesn't require the TV ever go on. 6. A free online service that was designed with input from third-party developers, rather than having them forced to conform. 7. Less restricted indie tools that allow for multiple input options (a personal wish that is plausible, not factual). 8. Full 1080p output, possibly at 60fps. 9. A massive reserve of left over revenue to fund R&D, third-party negotiations, advertisements and marketing research and cover any significant hardware malfunctions while still operating at a profit.

1.That's not enough. Especially since they focus mainly on 3 franchises. 2. Those Ds's and their "Battery stops working after not playing for 6 or more months after extensive use. 3. Actually, it's not. Just more featured. 4. I thought they stated not all perhiperals would be backed and we haven't recieved info for 100% BC? 5. It can't be remote play if you don't turn on the TV at least once. 6. Not confirmed. Also, if I am mistaken, it still doesn't mean much until we see it. 7. In theory 8. In theory 9. The whoke point was reasons it's better than the Xbox not a list of intheroy and unproven assumptions and guesses.

Nintendo first party games. I defy you to find me Zelda or Super Smash on an Xbox.charizard1605
Darksiders, XBLA version of Powerstone But other than that, no. They lost the casuals, so if they don't want another GC or worse, they will need to use more of their franchises/IPS evenly to gain traction when the Wii U comes out. Mario will not do it anymore. Wii series also had the fastest profit drop i have seen in video games in awhile (the other 5 being on Ps3 and 360)

Actually, the Mario thing makes some sense. Look at the GC and look at the Wii for all major Nintendo franchises? All the ones that did good in the GC era beyond expectation either don't exist or did poorly in comparison. All the ones that did bad or were Zelda and Mario did better. Now that the casuals have died, unless they think they can get them again with the Wii U, most likely, the Wii U will be another GC, where they will have to focus more on 3 franchises on their system.

Wait, let me rephrase what I posted before. Microsoft introduced all the things necessary to milk their consumers. You know what, I don't blame Microsoft, I blame people like the TC, who continue to support Microsoft and what they have done to the industry in general.

Like Sony hasn't milked anyone before with PS1, PS2, & now, PS Vita...

Sony doesn't charge for online play, nor do they do "subscription" deals (the new Xbox deal, which is terrible). You buy a Sony console *ONCE* unless it has a hardware issue, but that should not count because all consoles have hardware issues now and then which is a part of owning a gaming console, or even a PC. You don't buy a Microsoft console just once, you have to keep on paying for online. Microsoft doesn't need to come to your house to rob you, you let them in willingly to rob you.

Do you have Cable TV? Then your whole post is invalid.
