im sure the community will make you forget all about this. Sandbox editor anyone?
Its going to get much better as time goes on, im not at all worried about a missing level or lack of bullets.

Lets not compare the looks of Crysis to UT3. Crysis aims for photo-realistic graphics, with gameplay complete with from-the-future weapons and equipment, etc. UT3 has 100LB. minigun wielding 7' Goliaths running around a map killing eachother, something reminiscent of something you would see in a comic book. The graphics of UT3, fit UT3, likewise, the graphics of Crysis, fit Crysis. OsirisXS
Well said.
Also have to agree with all the thinkers out there who have posted. Capped at medium, beta demo.
I now kinda hope Crysis turns out to be such a rip-off of farcry all these crysis fanboys cry themselves into a hole.
Its a fun game. Just like the UTs before it.
And the graphics are incredible - look @ screenshots, not a beta, capped demo. It seems like the rational thing to do to me.
I would say CoD4.
My reasoning:
UT3:UT24k=Crysis:farcry
Follow up on good SP with awesome MP - UT3. And if Crysis lives up to the hype and doesnt become some benchmark, then crysis.
So there is my two cents.
It's a BETA Demo. Congrats on realizing that it's not perfect.
Every other beta I've played has problems. Why should UT3 be the exception?
Instead of whining, post your spec and problems on Epic's forums or something.
If you don't like the way the game looks and/or plays, don't buy it. For those that do, yay for us.

YAYY!! UT RULES!!
Im going to have to agree with Foxhound here. The glow effect is post processing, and an X1650 is NOT a shader-strong card. Try bringing it down, or even off, and you'll be fine.
The UE3 engine doesnt run AA, so @ 1024, its going to be jaggy. Now, at higher resolutions, its not so jaggy.
All of that^ - NOT epics problem if your card cant do it.
This game does push the envelope graphics wise, but you have to make sacrifices if you dont have a 2900 or 8800. Try to be realistic here.
My x1950gt runs the demo fine @ 1680x1050, however, as it has already been posted, this is just an 800meg demo, it doesnt have the high res textures. I know that my card wont be able to run the full game maxed out. But im an adult and understand that. Ill get a new card when I can.
But lets not forget about the gameplay! that fun, fast, frag-fest that makes the UT games what they are!! Thats whats most important. isnt it?
[QUOTE="r3351925"]Oh man this is a tough decision, a 8800GTS 640MB or the 1GB 2900PRO? I am leaning towards the 8800GTS 640MB, I'll probably end up getting that card...:).[QUOTE="Wesker776"]

-_-
2900 PRO 512MB.
, Really wow, i never thought that ati will rise back again, i guess the Pro is the best bang for buck right now. anyway, what's the problem with the latest ati cards, why the hell sometimesthey EAT CRAP when AA and AF is enabled?
That's the thing, the HD2900Pro doesn't suck when AA and AF are on. AF isn't even much demanding on the video card, so even my 7600GT runs 16x AF without a problem. AA performance has significantly improved from the release of the HD2900XT. Latest drivers have the HD2900XT pretty much always beating out the 8800GTS and sometimes even rivalling the GTX when 4x or 8x AA is set. (haven't seen benchmarks with 16xAA on).
yepper. Ati ups performance every driver release. Not sure about Nvidia, havent had one in a while, but im sure they do to.
Heck yeah though! im getting one ASAP, ive been waiting for these, been holding off till it came around. Now I can get set aside my volt modded x1950gt.
It was a so-so demo, I thought. Good graphics, ran very well. Controls do need some getting used to...
Innovative ideas with the squad selection on a fps.
But yeah, lacking in the 'fun' department. And the demo was way too linear for my taste.
