some people say that its a dying mmo with a screwed up world economy and bored regulars, while the recent promos indicates that its getting desperate. better wait first before commiting.Redhunt_86

Do you play EVE? Because the new promos are for the new expansion. Plus one in the pipe with DX10 support.

but anyway, yeah, its pretty good. Might be a little slow to start, but is worth it. Probably the largest, most in-depth MMO out there. The only one I know of where the players effect and change the game universe.

Yeah, its true - the online gaming of R6 is not there. Even with the new patch and gameplay modes, hard to find a game. But like one of the previous posts mentioned, if you do find one, its great.
I say go for it, it was one of those purchases for me and im glad I did it. Very fun game, Looks Great to boot.

Ive used a high dollar mouse (logitech revolution) and I couldnt really see a difference that would dramically impact playing a game. I have a $5 mouse (optical) and I just use Windows to up the sensitivity. Works great.

[QUOTE="pooonu"]So has no one picked up on the fact that you can't tell what these games look like based off these officially released screens? The actual games look nothing like that. They are jacking up the lighting, shadows, and special effects for the screenshots. Its especially obvious in the gears shots considering I've never seen a muzzle flash create dynamic shadows on the player ingame before. You ask me, this is more shady than trying to pass off CGI because these are plausibly real and they know that.JN_Fenrir
Actually, a few of us have pointed this out, but people are more interested in arguing with each other than forming educated opinions. Hey, welcome to our camp though. :-D

I played it on 360 about two weeks ago for the first time, it did have dynamic shadowing from muzzle flash. Actaully so does R6:V with dynamic on and high shadows. Not quite the intensity of the gears screenshot, but its there for sure.

But im not being a terd, its not uncommon for games companies to pre-render or add effects for promotional purposes.

[QUOTE="True_Blu3"]

UT3 looks better because it has bloom....LOTS OF IT. And despite that, most of the levels designs will look just like QuakeIII's with floating platforms and black backgrounds. So GoW has tons of variety in its graphical compartment, but UT3 has cleaner textures because there isn't very much to handel in the enviroments.

GeoW has less color variety because IT IS FREAKING WAR! War isn't colorful! It's dark, gloomy, and disturbing!

Floating platforms and black backgrounds? Have you ever played a UT game in your life? Let alone watch a gameplay video of UT3 in action.

Seriously, what was that post based on??

XP isn't offered so much anymore on most pc retailers like HP, dell, and toshiba...so its inevitableSOTE

Actually, if you go to those companies web sites, they do offer XP still. There has been a lot of complaints from consumers (non-builders) due to mid range, pre built PCs dont have the Hardware 'ump' if you will to run Vista satisfactory. Even Lenovo still offers XP.

Also, Microsoft has stated they are working on releasing a new OS in 3 years. Google all this if you dont believe me.

the total war games are good, not your traditional RTS, very large epic battles. I think you'll enjoy them.
and no, not even the new total war looks as good as CoH, although it does depend on the system. I honestly wish they would make a new Shogun version with the current(or next) engine, I thought it was the best.

Anyway, Yeah, they are good.
