[QUOTE="Cow4ever"]Only for 20 years and it's basically been Israel been ready to give 99% of what the Palestinians want resulting in Palestinians leaving. And the "wall" isn't in "palestinian territory" there's no "palestinian territory". And it has reduced Israeli civilian casulties by almost 99%. Building the fence is a matter of survival and security for Israeli and Palestinian civilians. Going to the UN is just avoiding peace talks. Confiscating land? They have only given away land. A peace deal would lead to them control the water. So if anything that should be an incentive for negotiations. If Israel has the upper hand how come Palestinians are stalling peace talks, making pre conditions, leaving peace talks, not accepting 99% etc etc. If Israel would have had the upper hand this would've been finished long time ago.,

What do you mean there is no palestinian territory? Per international law that is demonstrably wrong. The west bank, the Golan Heights, and East Jerusalem simply does not belong to Israel, and yet they continue to build settlements on these territories. The only land that they've given away was land that did not belong to them in the first place.
Yes it certainly does. I'd really like to see where in international law this is demonstrably wrong. And they should continue to build settlements as long as there are noone to negotiate with. Even if that land did not belong to them in the first place do you think it's right that they should give it away in return for absolutely nothing but increased hostility? As with Gaza and South Lebanon. And as with Egypt where it'll be pretty much be revoked.[QUOTE="Cow4ever"][QUOTE="EsYuGee"] Haven't they been trying to do talk for the good part of the last 60 years. If Israel can unilaterally build a wall deep into palestininan territory then why can't the Palestinians be admitted to the UN. It's nowhere near as material a change as building a physical wall and confiscating land. Besides, why should the Palestinians agree to any peace deal if they can't even control their own water. Israel has the upper hand in almost every aspect of this situation and they are willing to use it regardless of the other side.

Both sides have pre conditions for talks. If Israel wants to build a wall then go ahead, but why build it so deep into Palestinian territory (we can argue semantics at another time)? BTW what pre conditions do the Palestinians have for the the peace talks? Isreal does have the upper hand. Anyone objectively looking at this can see that. The status quo suits them just fine for the moment. The longer there is a stalemate the more facts they can create on the ground. Increasing settlement activity, where there shouldn't be settlements int he first place, is a methond of land grabbing. No Israel doesn't have a single precondition. No I'm not talking about semantics, that really isn't Palestinian territory. I agree that if the wall severely hampers the life of individuals they should opt for another route. But in other cases they should build wherever they want in this territory. The precondition is that Israel stops building "settlements" even including natural growth and including Israel's own capital. How can they accept that? And the other is that it's pretty much the 1967 ceasefire line. pretty much indefensible. Anyway borders should be a result of talks and not a requirement for starting talks. That's ridiculous. Status Quo is fine for Israel in the short run bet definitely not in the long run while for the PA it's fine in both cases. Why do you think they stall so much and are so unwilling to compromise? And you know there hasn't been a new settlement since 1999 as far as I know. And it's not land grabbing, the land was already Israel's so they grabbed their own land.[QUOTE="THE_DRUGGIE"]Palestine should be represented at the UN - I say. Yeayy another corrupt dictatorship in the Unethical NationsWow, this thread exploded while I was away sleeping.
So uh...let's talk about Palestine and the UN again.

How about giving it a try first? Instead of this baseless assumption. Haven't they been trying to do talk for the good part of the last 60 years. Going to the store ;)[QUOTE="Cow4ever"][QUOTE="Lucianu"]It doesn't fit the mood with the game which is very dark and solemn and atmospheric. Woah, woah. Slow down. For you, maybe. For me, it suited it just fine. Even if it didn't, it's not a deal breaker. Did you play Demon's Souls? The music is cool, what's wrong with it?
