This is basically for me to decide what to get. I wanna build my own gaming rig and I have learned alot about desktops but what about notebooks? I have seen extreme gamers using notebooks and i am just wondering what your opinions are about haveing a gaming notebook. I like the idea of taking it with me to a friends house because we are both gamers. I realize size is a prolem but I would just buy a monitor to hook up too with a wireless keyboard and mouse. I just have no idea how good a notebook can be for games and it would be interesting. Any opinions are great. thanks

I am new to this whole ATI crossfire thing i know im behind on the times. What would be the best setup besides the 4870. I want to be able to get a good graphic card that eventually i could buy another to use with it is it better to do tha or just buy the best one i can find. I have always used ATI so thats why I am wondering. Also if someone could buid me a rig it would help me out tons. I am on a budget i still need to save up and I do not want to have a machine thats not very good. I wanna play everything on high but dont wanna spend much more then $800. Any help would be great. I am planning on a X4 920 processeor with 4GB RAM and at least 500GB hdd. Is all that necessary or would 3GB be good or less HDD.

I was wondering what the AMD X4 920 and 940 are like. I wanna build a rig and am unsure about the processor. How do they compare to other AMD and intel processors.

I live in Canada. I am not comfprtable with it I have never done it. I would not mind learning but I do not know what parts I need I do not want to miss out on anything. It would help alot if you could list me parts. I want it to be a strong gaming computer to play newest games. I do not really want to spend more than $800. I want my system to run games on high. I need an OS just dont know which one i should work with.

Would this be good for me to do because I dont think my laptop wil run it very well its a little old but the beta is limited so should I just get it to use when i do get my PC (could be a little while a few weeks). And I am thinking from buying from IBUYPOWER so should I go with VISTA 64 Bit or XP and same with the beta should I go with 32BIT or 64BIT.

Thats the problem i really do not have a solid plan yet because i dont want to spend the money to by unecessary things such as too much RAM. I know there used to be many problems with Vista in the past but im sure that it has been fixed. I want the computer to last but i can always upgrade at a later time. should I get 4GB of RAM and go with XP so it can be upgraded later or just go with Vista 64 bit.

I have tried using those websites and I find it very confuzing to figure out 100% exactly what i need Can someone please build me one made for gaming and as cheap as possible but high quality for all the newest games. I am canadian and so prices in cdn would be appreciated. If someone builds one for me please include everything except monitor and speakers. Anything other then that please include especially an OS.
