Not that I know of. You can get it in NG+. It's really not too helpful of an item IMO, you'll be fine playing through without it.

Keep bosses, use all the soldier ones. As you pointed out you can use them to craft weapons later on.

The cool thing about the game is it can be played in so many different ways. Some people play it like yourself as a SP game for a challenge, some play for the competitive PvP, some like helping and co-op, and some like to do a mix. The online just offers a lot of variety and gives the game a unique feel, but if you don't enjoy it then by all means play offline.

Also in every one of the Souls games you can farm souls with or without online if your willing to grind. I do agree though the game is best enjoyed for me when I don't grind and just level through trying to progress in the game.

I have to ask why don't you just not summon anyone? That way you get the SP experience and challenge along with the intense PvP invasions.

PS- Also with invasions you just have to kill the host, you don't have to kill everyone.

It's hard to make that decision for you since, like you said, they are very different games. I'd say if don't have a group to play with get Red Orchestra, if you do go for Rust.

I see no problem with VAC bans. I've never seen proof that it banned people without warrant so until I see some proof I will continue to support it.

I also fail to see how that video is related to anything in this thread.

I'm a huge South Park fan so I'll pick it up at sometime. I'm tempted to pre-order now (the first 15 minute video looked great) but I'm going to wait and see how long it is before I shell out $60.

It does have a cool class system and interesting crafting, but beyond that it's pretty generic. That being said I did think it was well done, it's worth downloading for free and trying out IMO.

You need to play the game but refuse to pay for it...that makes sense.
