@rtircoklled we are coming from ages past that used to be far more complex and for the last decade we've stripped everything down to its based elements in order to appeal to more casual gamers.
in this day and age complexity is a god sent. Even if its done wrong at least they are trying to elevate us back beyond the lowest common denominators.
i personally helped this series get off the ground and invested countless quarters and time at home playing it, but after the 2nd game it just lost that same feel.
initially was thinking this was going to be just another Hollywood remake that's going to suck (like I think Rambo will) but when he said 'open world' I stared to come around.
Certainly cool enough world. interesting that they decided to go with all old school cars etc (at least from the vids show to date).
@lionesss im inclined to agree as well, capture points just require you to do things you wouldn't do other wise, or force you to attack in a place you wouldn't otherwise go.
if a hill is important id like to be the judge, and even if I do judge that hill to be important im going to tend to come at it as round about as possible and usually when they force you to take points like this they are drawn on maps that don't allow that kind of maneuvering.
in the end it just feels like they are trying to funnel you down places your going to take casualties.
