@bluzima: Well, a significant amount of my games have come from bundles over the years. Bundles that are a no-brainer to buy if I wanted to play a game in them and it's cheaper than buying the game itself separately.

I most definitely will not play much of my collection, no denying that.

But this has been over a period of 10+ years; Steam was the only option for digital distribution on PC, unless you count things like Direct2Drive. Steam was great for a long while, but changes over the years have definitely hurt. Regardless, I and many others would rather stay on Steam, as it is a community platform. GOG, Epic, Origin, Uplay.. 2 aren't community focused (GOG Galaxy possibly changing that) and 2 are hated (and late to the party). There's also Battle.net and Bethesda and Rockstar and.. ugh.

If I could take any platform I wanted; it'd be Steam. Keep all my games in one place, not have to deal with what damn service/launcher do I use for what damn game. And the Steam Workshop, god that's amazing.

Monopolies are definitely bad, but platform exclusivity like Epic is doing is also bad. PC isn't a damn console and this whole thing is just anti-consumer.

@saltslasher: Faulty analog sticks or faulty triggers has been the problem with mine.

Went to replace my controller with one of the new models back then (black+grey design), and the new controller had HORRIBLE JITTER on the analog sticks. Brand new in-box from a local store. Returned it immediately.

Ended up buying replacement parts, opening it up myself and repairing it. Helped, but still not perfect. The overall design of the PS4 pad (analog sticks, god the analog sticks) is just worse than previous ones.

These things are not worth $50. They are nothing like the quality of the old PS1-2 controllers. (never owned a PS3, can't comment on it)

Used peripherals are a huge no-no.

Not only are they used, which is disgusting and leads to wear and tear on things with very limited lifespans, but they were returned for a reason, usually because the product isn't working right. (especially Monitors; dead pixel returns are pretty much the sole reason those go back)

I can support buying used hardware components like CPUs, graphics cards, RAM, speakers.. stuff that generally has no issues with long term use and isn't handled. But peripherals? Nope; just nope.

Hopefully without the downgrades The Witcher 3 received.

Just sick and tired of good looking games getting downgraded before launch because they can't run on modern console hardware.

@m4a5: Or be like me and have 1,500 steam games in your collection you still haven't played so you don't mind waiting for a new release to leave Epic exclusivity and get on Steam..

First-world-bad-spending-habits problem.

I mean, new games are consistently broken in multiple areas, plus a bunch of DLC is always planned, so it's honestly better to just wait out timed exclusives anyway. Sucks not to play the latest games, sure, but if multiplayer doesn't matter, why rush?

Who needs a remaster when you can just re-release it on the Switch?

@thomaswmak: You young? PS1 and PS2 controllers worked on either system. PS3 went USB, obviously incompatible with the old plugs. Whether the DS3 works on the PS4, I don't know, the PS2 was the last console I owned.

Meanwhile, everything's worked on PC either via an adapter, or third party software.

How about they fix the analog sticks being absolutely atrocious compared to the DS1-3 controllers? Hell, even compared to the original DS4 release (uniform black), as the revision has jitter the original didn't.

Make something worth the $50, Sony, like the past controllers. These are garbage; full of problems and don't last besides.

And they're being closed? For saving the movie?

What on earth..
