There are a couple in this thread and in some of the other threads on this new video of Bad Company 2. I am curious, you seem to believe it would be impossible to justify Bad Company 2 being more technically superior than Uncharted 2. lol I can easily justify it.

Uncharted 2 has 1 post processing effect which makes it stand out, and that is depth of field, the game uses this effect a lot. Putting that aside, the trailer we saw of Bad Company 2 has (I'm not going to say better as the trailer wasn't clear enough) comparable textures, bump/normal mapping, real time shadows, particle effects, volumetric smoke and destructable environments. Its very hard to tell which would be using the most polys but Bad Company 2 appears to have the larger environments with much more in game assets being rendered at any given time.

You seem from your previous post awfully ready to dismiss any claim that Uncharted 2 may not be console graphics king?

I'm sure you can recognise that games have a certain artistic colour palette, right? Some games go for a film noir style in the same way movies like 300, Sin City and many other movies are. Killzone 2 intentionally goes for a subtle palette, its grim, its post apocalyptic, its supposed to be that way. However, you'll find many more colours than just grey or orange. You know full well there are.

We will never know. The only way to measure is to compare the PS3 version of Battlefield and Killzone 2. If the PS3 version of Battlefield is judged better and PS3 has the inferior version of Battlefield then you can make that claim. But it matters not because I hear Uncharted is thebest looking game on any system period.

Umm, I wouldnt say on any system, there are pc games that beat U2in everything from screen resolution to textures to scale and post processing effect. However, it does look likely to take the console graphics crown.

On Topic: Bad Company 2 looks really good. The thing that has impressed me the most is the sound. Bad Company 1 had some very realistic sounds, this also cranks up the shadows and the lighting. Very impressive Dice!!

To be fair, Toy Story is Pixar's oldest movie, movie CGI has come along way, whilst some games may be approaching Toy Story in how they look, there is a massive gulf between games and current Pixar movies.

Man, this thread has been so entertaining lol. It's really got me excited for this game, I'm going to pick it up this weekend, don't really want to get it today/tomorrow cus I have too much to do and I can't stand it when you get a really addictive game but you can only play in tiny amounts. I'm going to wait till saturday :D
