Aren't you not supposed to stick it in your waist band?

lostrib

It might have been holstered inside of his waistband. Would have been nice to know the specifics.

I think people are making open carry is bigger issue than it should be. There's nothing wrong with it and if the law allows it, then I don't see anything wrong with a law-abiding citizen having and owning a gun on their person. Seriously, it's not a big deal.

II_Seraphim_II

If I was walking down a street and saw an ordinary person carrying a gun, especially an assault rifle, I think I'd be scared out of my wits and try to hide from him/her. I'm sure especially little children seeing something like that would panic and run all over the place.

This.

I know there's the counter-argument of "oh, well they could conceal carry and there'd just be as many guns," but I'd much rather be blissfully unaware of all the ordinance arond me than see people with guns strapped to them like they're expecting Brad Pitt to pop out of nowhere and have World War Z follow with him.

but I personally would feel more comfortable if the guy sitting next to me didnt have an assault rifle or a desert eagle strapped to his belt.

Do you feel unsafe when a police officer that is carrying a gun is in your immediate vicinity? Do you feel unsafe riding in a car knowing that there is a possibility that you will be in a car accident and be killed? I would assume not. Why? Because, that would be irrational. The likelihood of a lawful gun owner using their gun to kill you is so incredibly insignificant compared to the things that kill Americans throughout everyday life.

[QUOTE="thegerg"][QUOTE="Person0"][QUOTE="thegerg"] That might be one reason for you to carry, but let's not forget more practical reasons that others have. PernicioEnigma
Oh you got me good. Practical reasons like getting their gun stolen and being the first to be subdued/shot if something happens?

This question doesn't make sense either.

If I was some sexually repressed kid who got sick of it and decided to shoot up a mall or something to release my frustration, I know the first person on my hit list would be the assh*le with the assault rifle slung over his back.

That's called projection.............

It's not a shame to have any of you folk armed.

"Guns are criminal. If you touch one you have committed a crime. Only government is responsible to use them."

I think it's a shame that people think guns are necessary.

It isn't necessary for you to be posting on a gaming forum right now, yet here you are.

Oh look, another study that fails to link gun ownership to the causality of crimes while presenting it as if it does. The next study is going to link higher rates of car ownership with more vehicle deaths I bet!

[QUOTE="Ackad"][QUOTE="worlock77"]

[QUOTE="SwagSurf"] While I do agree that education also plays a role, but gangsters/burglars also attack innocent civilians. Wouldn't arming civilians be a good thing?worlock77

Not necessarily.

 - The key here is in your last three words. I don't oppose people being able to arm themselves, but at the same time I don't think a populace chock full of armed citizens is necessarily a good thing because from everything I've observed, even among "responsible gun owners", is that few people know and understand how to weld a gun responsibly.

Giving rough estimates ofcourse, since it's hard to know exactly how many American's own firearms without a registry. It's believed that there are 70 million gun owners in the country, and there are roughly 30,000 deaths that involve firearms annually. You don't have to be a mathmetician to realise that is a very small %. Firearm safety really isn't complicated by any degree. I see nothing that suggests that most lawful gun owners can't follow the most basic common sense rules when it comes to handling a firearm. Ofcourse there are accidents, that is the truth about anything that is potentially harmful.

I know it's silly to expect something as awesome as Spirited Away was. But, I really hope he's been saving something great for the end. Regardless, the man is a God of Animation.
