The game is banned in over 4 countries at least. Im tired of people acting like we lose American rights. No, we lose a stupid game.

Yeah but I dont think all of those countries have freedom of speech, and I didnt say we would loose an american right I was just saying that it would be unconstitutional, and in this country when we equate corporations as human beings it is a form of losing a right.

I'm sure we have all read the IGN Preview of the Wii version, and when I first read it I had mixed feelings. I thought it was cool, an adult title that earns the term "adult" through gorey deaths and whatnot, I love violent games because it is a great outlet for anger and frustration, but I am a pacifist 100% and in no way a violent person. To me the manhunt 2 debate is at it's core about when corporate responsobility ends and personal responsibilty comes in, and in some ways this is a murder simulator, and it has the potential of causing harm, but is that enough reason alone to ban a game?

To make a comparison I am going to bring up the pronography industry. Many of the same things about Manhunt 2 can be said about hardcore porn. Hardcore porn is meant to simulate sex and to glorify it, and by masterbating we choose to actively be a part of the experience. And a lot of people to this day believe that by watching porn that people can become sexual deviants or rapists, yet porn is an outlet for sexual frustration felt by some and usually keeps them from becoming rapists. 

The major complaint against the wii version is that due to its controller design you are a more active participant in the actions that unfold on screen, but the thing is, the player doesnt have to execute the enemy in an extremely violent manner, the player can take the dude out in a less violent form if they choose to. It's all fantasy and people old enough to purchase the game are able to seperate fantasy from reality. 

This game shouldnt be banned because banning a game means that we are giving the government the opportunity to decide what is artistic and that is a direct violation of the first constitution and no matter how small of a violation of that right may be it is unamerican.
