My Second (and now Third) New YouTube videos!

My newest video on YouTube,

Melee Mansion - Peach's Castle in Garry's Mod, is now up! EDIT: Today I also released

Portal - Ending/Final Level Secrets

The video itself is of me playing Garry's Mod with a couple of friends in Peach's Castle, where we set up a whole bunch of Combine Police with stunsticks. We fight through them with stunsticks and crowbars of our own.

And the video on Portal shows actual gameplay of me showing and explaining the easter eggs of the final level, including shooting GLaDOS, the bleeding radio, the odd sphere, the cake room, the outside area and how to get the companion cube into the outside area when you beat the game.

I've got a whole bunch of these demos from source games, so expect some more coming soon!

Please watch and enjoy!

My First Ever YouTube video is up!

That's right - My YouTube Account is finally up and running, and to celebrate I released some of my gameplay fighting twenty-something guards in Assassin's Creed!

Check it out!

In other news, this week is turning out very well for me.

Tomorrow I get to spend the day at an amusement park with my friends at school - a reward for being on the honor roll all year.

This week is the last actual week I have for school, with only three unproductive days after it.

I can't wait for Summer to finally come...

Level 26: Cyber-Lip

Wow. This level has been extremely slow at finishing, but finally as of today I'm level 26: Cyber-Lip!

Sadly, I can't be on much for now because my parents think I'm on too much and are trying to limit me. :(

Secret Shank!

To accompany my new banner which accompanies my new game Assassin's Creed, I uploaded a video captured with Fraps of exactly what a secret shank is!

Enjoy!

New Assassin's Creed Banner Image

Hello intrawebz users, it's DarCowAlways again with a new banner!

Since Assassin's Creed is such an awesome game, I made it based on that.

'Secret Shank' is what I call the hidden blade, just for fun :P

SHANK.

I like to walk up behind archers on the top of buildings who are looking the other way and go "Secret shank!!".

It's the best and most fun move in the game.

Tell me what you think! :D

Assassin's Creed Assassin's Creed Assassin's Creed Assassin's Creed Assassin's--

:D

Three days ago I got Assassin's Creed!

:D

It's a veery fun game. And, for those of you who own it, (UPDATED) have finished the first assassination in Acre and have been on my way to Jerusalem for a while now.

Just now when I got to the entrance of Acre for the first time I found the citizen I needed to save and fought off the guards... all twelve of them! I love combat in AC. Veery fun. Very satisfying. Although Templars' grab attacks are just downright cheap

Hmm... I'd like to give you some impressions, but... I want to get all those Eagle Views! ;) I give AC a 9.5-- not a ten, because of a few reasons.

-For such an open, sandbox game the guards and citizens impose a lot of strict restrictions.

-The controls can be a bit... too fluid?

-...Templars

-LAG (UPDATE) Nevermind! I fixed my lag problems. I didn't realize it, but I had AA on the highest setting! Why do they have to call it multisampling? That rather threw me off. :P

-Not having the extra memories because of flags in places which require epic conflicts with of 4 archers, 7 guards and 5 templars are simply no fun... take out those annoying archers and I'll try it

-Having to blend on horseback and on foot isn't very fun for long durations, though I still will

-The 'use a hide spot after they lose they're line of sight' idea is a little tricky to pull off, resulting in more of an action game than a blend-in and sneak game

-Citizens remember things we wish they would forget...

And that's not to say I do not love many things about Assassin's Creed. This is a very small list of complaints compared to everything so amazing about the game. And that's why I give it a 9.5.

Now if you don't mind, I've got some important people to assassinate... :P

Get Half-Life 2: Deathmatch free!

Steam has a deal going with Nvidia right now that any Steam user should be able to redeem (Steam is free and easy to setup)- they're giving away a demo of the first 11 levels of Portal, Half-Life 2: Deathmatch, Half-Life 2: Lost Coast, and most importantly, Peggle Extreme :P

HL 2: DM usually costs five dollars in the Steam store, and Lost Coast about the same.

I'm personally having a lot of fun with it. At first I didn't play it, because I was new to it and didn't know much of how to play it, but last night I played it with a friend of mine in a small game and together we rocked the scoreboard. :D

Check it out here. I hope to play a game with you soon!

Beat Portal (Again) and Got New Achievements

I beat Portal on the first PC I had it on not too long ago. But, for some reason, I didn't get my achievements for beating it. So today I finally finished it on my current rig, and got those achievements, and only seconds before The Office came on! Talk about good timing :P

Here are the ones I got for continuing the game today:

Lab Rat (Get the Expansion to the Portal Gun)

Fratricide (Kill the Companion Cube)

Partygoer (Escape the Fire Pit)

Heartbreaker (Complete Portal)

----

After that, I got Terminal Velocity (fall 30,000 feet)

and Long Jump (Jump 300 feet)

So there you have it :) Now the only achievements I don't have are for killing all the cameras (I got 27) and beating advanced maps/challenges. I'll get those eventually.

Not on Much Lately

Sorry I haven't blogged much or anything lately. I just have a lot of schoolwork to worry about and Steam + Team Fortress 2 take up most of my free time. But mostly, I just haven't had anything to blog about lately. So here are some tidbits:

-My dad got some printers; two good inkjets (because they were on massive sale), and a feature-filled wireless one that does everything. He's thinking of having my sister my dad and I sharing the cheap ones, and having the nice one at his office, but I'm insisting on us all using the wireless one (I mean... it's a house. It's four different computers!) so we can all use it, and because we have no room for one printer each. That way he can have a nice simple one for his single computer in his office. And, that way, he'd get to take back one of the cheap ones and save money. Everybody wins!

-I got seating in my room! Finally! There was only one chair before, but we found some $140 chairs on sale for $20 and got two- one for me :D

-My internet broke, but I fixed it before it became a problem. That dumb ethernet cable. I don't know why it takes my PC so long to recognize a connection over a cable. I fixed it just like last time; I plugged it in wirelessly, and unplugged it after shutting down. In the morning, I booted up as normal and had my connection!

-I'll probably stay home tomorrow. I'm not feeling great. :(

...And that's basically it :) I know, DarCowAlways, with his mile-a-minute life!

I got the UBERSAW!!

After several days of working on the new medic achievements, I finally got them all finished and earned the coveted Ubersaw. :D

I play you a song...

Oh, and this must be one of the first images of the ubersaw on the internet. I searched carefully, and could never find one. Here it is!
