Aloha Everyone! :)
I think that I'm in a situation in which a submitter may try to take advantage of me. I received a bunch of submissions from this particular submitter to have to reject his/her subs most of the time for not following the submission guidelines for adding a new episode. I have asked the submitter to resubmit as long as they follow the guidelines. Well, this user got snippy in the comments and still failed to follow the guidelines, so I rejected the submissions. Later on, the submitter started to follow the guidelines but still didn't actually provide a direct link (url) to the source, causing me to search pages till I find that the info is correct. Now, I receive a submission with the same issue of no direct link, causing me to search for it so it could be accepted. I therefore accept the submission, and was even polite to fix the errors in the summary. Well, come to find out...the edits I make didn't take causing this user to make an edit submission to fix his/her error. I think what may end up happening is, the user may end up taking advantage of me, hoping that I'd accept his/her submission not noticing his/her errors or that I'd fix them and the system doesn't take my edits; this way, they can make an edit to their own sub. What is sad, as I have the sub still sitting in my queue, the submitter knows of the error, but there is still an error in the summary. Therefore I'd have to reject the submission. My problem is...what to say in the rejection? The submitter knows that editors can fix issues in the submission, and this particular submitter may end up getting snippy again if I'd reject his/her sub.
Thanks for stopping and have a wonderful day! :)
P.S. Anyone else notice the strange bug causing words to be mushed together despite the typist put a space in between the words? I noticed this with TV.com and GameSpot.
