I am just really starting to get a bit annoyed now that I still haven't got this 360 I ordered. I ordered it last Sunday, didn't get despatched until Friday due to delays with the supply (got an email saying it has been despatched), the auction was taken down for it (which is somewhat suspicious) and now it is Monday and still nothing. The other one will be taken away sometime tomorrow and will have to wait over 3 weeks before it comes my way again or by any luck, less than that.

Oh and for anyone out there that wants to try God of War II in Titan Mode. Be warned that it is damn hard and sometimes cheap as hell and I know some people out there that did it WITHOUT dying and WITHOUT using upgrades. I find it hard to believe but they must be GOW Gods or something. I spent a good hour or so at this part with the big stone minotaur and them damn harpies and just couldn't get past it. It doesn't help that I have no magic, not enough to activate rage mode and that sometimes I somehow get hit by something I am not even close to. If you saw the frustration and profanities that were coming out of my mouth last night, you would have been shocked and ashamed. I want to finish Titan mode but again I don't since more anger will just come out of me. You have to be REALLY good at GOW if you can go through Titan mode with no problem.

I am just getting bored now since I want to play Mass Effect and like its been a week since I last played the 360 but the main games I want to play are on that system. I know I am being a whiny b**** but there is nothing else to sooth me during this time. Anyway, the awards will probably occur around the same time as the GOTY vid happened last year so look out for it. Take care and toodles!

Following on from what I did last year in terms of naming my GOTY nominations and then announcing what game it was in my last vblog of the year, I am going to do it again but notch it up a level. If you checked out EightBitWarrior's more recent blogs, he is going to do his own Best of Awards this year and I am going to be doing the same although I will have a few awards he does not have. I will probably make it somewhat semi-professional in that I will talk about the specific award then announce the nominations via gameplay footage and then announce the winner and why it won. Basically, what Gamespot does for the awards at the end of the year. I will now announce the different categories that there will be but no nominations yet, as I am quite frankly not done yet. Hey guys. This is just going to be a little blog basically saying that I really miss playing on the 360 and well, I know I can go back and finish games I haven't completed or whatnot but all I want to do is play ME, AC and COD 4. That won't happen now until Monday since nothing came my way today and it just makes me sad.

I know I have Galaxy but I am kind of done with it for the time being but I should go back into it though during the weekend to like you know, pass the time. Like I have been waiting to play ME very much and for me not to play it right now is awful.

Still haven't sent my broken 360 due to the fact that I need to obtain a box of my own, which quite frankly has me annoyed. You see, in the US they get their box shipped out to them so that they can put the 360 in, package it up and send it along its merry way. Here though, we have to get a damn box of our own (once again, the short end of the stick we get) and that is nothing but cheap basically.

I just want to play a game I have been anticipating, is that too much to ask. ;(

Hello, fellow gamers. It is Darro here with another blog that will feature certain topics and whatnot so enjoy.

First of all, I would like to basically rant on the fact that after 5 days, the video processing problem STILL hasn't been dealt with and for me and others out there, that is quite frankly pathetic. I am not sure if they are working on it or not but something should have been done by now but nope. I have a video waiting to be uploaded once this problem has been dealt with that I did last Tuesday giving my thoughts on the whole "people bashing reviews and all that there" thing, which you see around various gaming sites and forums where some idiot goes on a bit of a rant bashing the reviewer and the site because of the fact that their game didn't get the score they wanted. Its about 16 mins long or so and hope you enjoy it though when this whole problem has been fixed. Should be called Slowspot now.

Moving on, I got my copy of Mass Effect in the post today but unfortunately, haven't received the replacement 360 unit because of delays that occurred with the seller and the suppliers. It has been dispatched earlier today so fingers crossed I get it tomorrow and its working fine since I can delve into the Mass Effect universe finally. On a note though, I was surprised that I got ME today because before I usually get games on the Thursday but it didn't occur this time but its fine since I don't have a working 360 to play it on anyway. On a side note, people have been pretty disappointed with this game for certain reasons and just hope I don't feel the same way. They probably hyped it too much or something but will have to wait and see for myself whether I am on their side or not.

I decided to take the plunge and go back to God of War II and start playing it on Titan mode, which of course is the hardest mode in the game. I am at Typhos' Lair at the moment so not that far but I know this is going to be harder than God mode in the first game (especially when I face some of the bosses). I am not so sure if I will eventually make it to the end and finish it because some part will probably just annoy me so much that I will say "Forget it!" and just leave it as it is.

I see that the guys I talk to on Gamespot are pretty much fixated with a game that was released over in the States this week known as Rock Band. Unfortunately, I will have to wait until next year for me to check it out but I am interested in getting it though mainly the drums since they look uber-fun to play with. The setlist though is pretty so-so but maybe because I haven't heard some of the songs before and not sure how they go. They have DLC already, which is good and hopefully the ones that are released from now in the US to our launch are available here from the get-go.

As for Darro's Delights, well not really sure what to do. I did 2 episodes and then just been on a little hiatus ever since. I should do episode 19 sometime next week and get back in the swing of things because I have nothing else to do (unemployed and quite frankly, it sucks).

Hey. This would have been up yesterday but GS uploading was kind of screwy or something I don't know. Anyway here is the 10th episode and pretty long though so I know those who can stomach me for 30 minutes will watch it and those who can't will turn it off after 5 seconds.

Anyway, I talk about my impressions of Super Mario Galaxy (one word: awesome), Assassin's Creed (played more after this and its pretty good although I see it getting kind of repetitive) and COD 4. I share my final thoughts on Eternal Sonata and why I hate GAME now after the latest trade-in blunder.

First of all, thanks to those people who commented in my blog yesterday about the death of my 2nd 360. Well, today I called the technical support to you know, get it repaired and overall, it was pretty good although she had trouble understanding the number nine coming out of my mouth. Will have to wait on an email now to see the procedure that needs to be done although I believe she told me over the phone but sorry to say, I had a little trouble understanding what she was saying at times. She said that could occur within 24-48 hours, which kind of sucks. I know some of you out there have dealt with them before and probably know this procedure so if you do, send me a PM about it so I can get this out sooner rather than later.

I was checking on ebay for 360s and came across replacement units from 89.99 and its pretty much intrigued me since to tell you the truth, I really need to play Mass Effect as soon as possible and having to wait 3 weeks or so in order to play is torture honestly to me. It will be there in its box saying, "You need to play me Darren, get another 360 NOW!!" or something along those lines. Sure I have a few other games perhaps to occupy me but Galaxy is the only one I wanna play and I will be done with it in a week or so.

I have the money to get it now and if by any chance, I will get it the same day that Mass Effect comes my way but well, I presume my mother wouldn't be happy with it and will give me the same old "wasting money on games" thing. But I am not getting anything more after Mass Effect as far as paying it for myself until the new year.

So what do you guys think I should do? Do nothing and just send the busted 360 along and wait around 2-3 weeks perhaps more for it to return or get a new unit now and be playing Mass Effect this week like I was originally going to do until this whole thing happened. Let me know thanks.

Unfortunately, it has come to this. I have received the dreaded 3 red lights of death and have come to the conclusion that I have to get it repaired/replaced, whichever one occurs.

I am really upset about this because in just 5 days time, a game I have been very much anticipating ever since I first saw it over a year ago will be with me by post and unfortunately I won't be able to play it or maybe perhaps I could. You see, the thing is, I encountered the RLOD last Wednesday and caught me by surprise since it was just so unexpected and tried the towel technique I seen before and it worked again. Then last night, it happened again and I switched it off and unplugged the cables etc for about 10 mins and connected them again and it worked and played some COD 4 MP with the usual guys. Now for the third time, it has happened and just decided enough is enough and will just have to call up Microsoft and send it onwards.

So, while some of you guys are playing and possibly enjoying Mass Effect, think of me since I probably won't get to experience it for a good 3-4 weeks or less if I am lucky, especially when it is coming towards the Christmas season and post will be slower then. At least I have a few other games to tie down mainly Galaxy even though I will have it done soon (going for all the stars and around a quarter there).

My 2nd 360 served me well these past 18 months and at least I got to play some great games this year like The Darkness, Biohock, Eternal Sonata, Dirt amongst others on it before it bit the dust. So goodbye my 360, we got to be such close friends.

Do you remember the time I bought Donkey Kong Country 3 of ebay only to get Donkey Kong Country 2 and had a little dispute with the seller over it, which I eventually won. Well, looks like I am having deja vu since the same thing has happened to me.

Last week, I bought Guitar Hero III of futureplayuk, which is apart of ebay and that I later realised it was being shipped from Hong Kong and not the UK itself even if it did state that in the auction. I already talked about in Darro's Dominion my acquiring of another copy of Guitar Hero so won't go into detail here. Anyway, I was planning to sell the copy that was coming to me once I received it and alas, it came today but opened it up only not to see GH III but the game you see in the picture aboe: Project Gotham Racing 4 (NTSC-J version). I wasn't totally upset about this now since of course, I didn't already have PGR 4 before unlike the DKC episode.

Since it came, I knew it was region-free hence I would be able to play it also and just decided that I would keep the game anyway. I checked the price of the game sold by futureplay and seen it was £5 cheaper than I what I paid for GH III and decided to send them a message saying it was the wrong game but going to keep it and that they would give me back the difference in which they did so I thank them for that.

So I have another region-free game to boot and will be playing this over the next week. Until next time, ROCK ON!!

PS. I believe that Call of Duty 4 is region-free also. I would like to get this but only going to get Galaxy and Mass Effect for the rest of the month while this and other games can wait until Christmas.

Yes, its another long episode featuring yours truly but I have some gameplay video of me doing a pretty bad run (in my opinion) of a song in Guitar Hero III. Other than that, the usual stuff.
