Darth-Caedus Blog

I'm in ur banshee, killin ur covenant

Roughly a century after everyone else, I finally got around to playing Halo Combat Evolved, DL'ed the Mac version of it out of boredom awhile ago.

Good god I've been missing out, before playing it, I kinda thought it looked overhyped, looked like good fun, but I didn't see it as something I would fall in love with, I was wrong, this is one of the most fun shooters I've ever played :D Just wish there were more scorpion tank levels.

I really need to get a 360 one of these decades so I can get around to the other games in this series...

Anyway, if you noticed a lack of activity from me, that is why...probably going to continue for awhile too, as I attempt to beat it on legendary mode.:P

Was debating whether to put this one or Obscura...Obscura is technically better in every way, but I think this one is much more enjoyable, Obscura can sometimes be a bit too daunting to listen to in one sitting, where as this one is always enjoyable.

One of the few Thrash Metal albums on this list...while I'm not a huge fan of Thrash overall (I like it, but it just doesn't interest me as much as most of the other metal sub-genres), this album just completely destroys most other thrash albums in terms of quality IMO, an absolute must listen for any thrash fan (Or metal fan, for that matter).

What can I say about this album... While a lot of people seem to either prefer The Sound Of Perseverance, or one of the previous albums that death released, I personally find this album to be the pinnacle of their career, and as such, one of the best Death Metal albums ever released.

Pretty much the best Melodic Death Metal album ever...I can find no real flaws in this album aside from the boring as hell closing track. If it weren't for that one track, this probably would be top ten material.

This album is quite possibly the most...soothing metal albums I have ever heard, when listening to it, I just can't help but feel really calm and relaxed...just a wonderful album overall.

For those of you that aren't big on harsh vocals, I recomend at least checking out the songs Écailles de Lune (Part I) and Sur L'Océan Couleur de Fer, both have clean vocals throughout, and are probably the best songs on the album IMO.
