In the new DLC, you get to beat up Claptrap, then go on a crazy Twitter rant.

@5tu88sy: I'll tell you one thing: if they suddenly released a new expansion for Skyrim, I'd buy it in a second.

I expect ES6 to crush Skyrim when it comes to its longevity.

@thelostscribe: RPGs are difficult to make. Open-world RPGs 10 times as hard. Gamers want believable NPCs, day-night/weather cycles, believable fauna, cinema-quality soundtrack, storytelling that rivals Tolkien, modding support... and of course, new game engine, which in itself could take years to create.

It takes Rockstar YEARS to make a game -- and they're 4 times bigger than Bethesda.

I say Starfield comes out November 2021. ES6 - November 2024.

@zero0010: Half way done? How so? Two years doesn't mean half way. A year might have been spent on concept and design documents. Another year on early prototyping. They might have found that game wasn't fun, so they scrapped the project. It doesn't mean that it was mismanaged. To me, it sounds like the concept wasn't working.

Years ago, there was a story about Sid Meier working on a game about dinosaurs. After prototyping the game, he cancelled it because the concept didn't translate well from paper to PC and gameplay wasn't interesting.

Larger studios can afford to cancel projects that would end up as bad games. Smaller ones or indies would rather push through and release crapware in order to recover at least some of the cost of development.

Nice, but that trailer showed nothing. It's as useful as Elder Scroll VI reveal from last year's E3. While I'm optimistic they'll do a good job with the game, I need to see gameplay footage before I consider buying it. I saw in another article that they might not use isometric camera in this one. I pray they won't turn this into a 1st or 3rd person game. That just won't work well when controlling party members during combat.

@reddevilofhell: Not as easy finding talented people as you think. These are not CSRs. These are artists and devs, many of whom could be earning 6 figures, depending on experience.

Also, funny you talk about being too soft. Game developers are notoriously overworked. This is not a 40-hour job.

@crazypostalbob: Eh, I don't think it's that bad. The Night King needed to die in this episode. Otherwise, no point continuing the series. If he's not destroyed, he wins and the only major character left would be Cersei. How he died may not be what some fans wanted, but I honestly did not want to see some epic fight between him and Jon -- that would have been lame and what every goddamn superhero movie does.

What's with all the complaining? Too many superhero movies have ruined your brains.
