Easy. PC game files are heavily compressed and, thus, need to be uncompressed, hence, the install. The PS3 has no excuse as they aren't compressed. Is *There any Real Reason why MICROSOFT makes you install something after you DL it?

This could be pretty profitable considering how many 13 year olds with their parents' credit cards can spend.

As soon as I have to pay to play a game that isn't an MMO, this industry is truly in a bad way.
I can justify a handful of MMO's having a subscription. If they provide the content and experience you can't get from other games and are constantly supported, a fee is acceptable. This is also why only a handful of MMOs are actually successful.
I don't play the COD games, but reading what you just posted makes me think if some of my favorite franchises will go this way in the future, like KOTOR.
~ Scary Thought :(

KOTOR3 (i.e. TOR) is an MMO. Where the hell have you been?

What a ********. I was talking about Kb+M, mods, and being able to be up close with my monitor and not be bombarded with jaggies. Being up close helps the immersion and, therefore, the fun.
