Top Ten Albums!!!

Well, kind of. No band can have more than one album on the list, so it's more like taking the single best album from each of my ten favorite bands, and ordering them in order of how amazing they are. Except, I didn't want Pennywise onthere, so I just put RHCP's second best album at the end., even if it's better than tenth. 2 & 3 are tied.

1. Blood Sugar Sex Magik

Image:RedHotChiliPeppersBloodSugarSexMagik.jpg

Quickie Review: I've said it before, and I'll say it again, this is a masterpiece. All the funk of the title track, "Righteous and the Wicked", and others, topped with the ballads of "Breaking the Girl", Under the Bridge", and "I Could Have Lied" make a perfect blend. And who could forget the obscene sexual lyrics of "Sir Psycho Sexy". I love this album.

Top 5 Songs: "If You Have To Ask", "I Could Have Lied", "Blood Sugar Sex Magik", "Under the Bridge", "Righteous and the Wicked"

2. Siamese Dream

Image:SmashingPumpkins-SiameseDream.jpg

Quickie Review: WOW!!! A big jump from #8 to #2. How did this happen? Because "Siamese Dream" is the sh*t. I love their unique blend of quiet music and loud music just screams for more listening. "Cherub Rock", "Today", "Disarm, the list goes on, this is an amazing album. If you don't own it, you deserve to be smacked *pause for people to smack themselves*. Okay, there you go, youdeserved that.

Top 5 Songs: "Cherub Rock", "Today", "Geek U.S.A.", "Soma", "Disarm"

3. Are You Experienced?

Image:AreyouexpUS.jpg

Quickie Review: It remains in the solid position of being high on the charts. It's Hendrix. Is that enough? No? Okay, it's the most important rock album ever. Fin.

Top 5 Songs" "Hey Joe", "Purple Haze", "Red House", "Fire", "Foxey Lady"

4. New Maps of Hell

Image:Bad Religion - New Maps of Hell.jpg

Quickie Review: Yes, this is odd. This came out a month ago, and it's already #4 on my list? It is Bad Religion's best ever. The musicianship is incredible on this album. The songwriting is better than ever, and it's just plain badass.

Top 5 Songs: "Requiem For Dissent", "Heroes and Martyrs", "Honest Goodbye", "New Dark Ages", "Germs of Perfection"

5. Nevermind

Image:NirvanaNevermindalbumcover.jpg

Quickie Review: Another one of history's greatest albmus will take #5 here. "Smells Like Teen Spirit", "Come As You Are", "In Bloom", do I need to explain? No? Good.

Top 5 Songs: "In Bloom", "Smells Like Teen Spirit", "Come As You Are", "Stay Away", "Lithium"

6. Social Distortion

Quickie Review: Social D has only put out one bad album, and this sure as hell isn't it. This is amazing. Now I'm bored of this quickie review. Write your own d*mn review :P,

Top 5 Songs: "Story of My Life", "Ball and Chain", "Ring of Fire", "Sick Boys", "So Far Away"

7. The Colour and the Shape

Quickie Review" FF's best album. Great songs like "My Hero and "Monkey Wrench" are what music's all about.

Top 5 Songs: "My Hero", "Monkey Wrench", "Enough Space", "February Stars", "Doll"

8. Kaya

Quickie Review: I've explained it before. Bob was a master it great reggae beats. He issues out one of the best reggae albums on this.

Top 5 Songs: "Kaya", "Crisis", "Time Will Tell", "Misty Morning" "Sun is Shining"

9. Bushfire Fairytales

Quickie Review: Jack Johnson is the best soft rock musician ever.

Top 5 Songs: "Bubble Toes", "Flake", "Middle Man", "Posters", "Mud Football"

10. Stadium Arcadium

Quickie Review: While Stadium Arcadium may be better than tenth, I didn't want to repeat bands unless I had to at the end.

Some things can be misleading. One of those things is the title of this album. It belittles the album itself. However, get over the title, and there's amazing music.

Top 5 Songs: "Readymade", "Snow (Hey Oh)", "Turn it Again", "21st Century", "Wet Sand"

Fin. Now (unless you are him) ask Elmis what to do. I'm pretty sure he'll say "piss off".

I'm Back!!!

I was in Hawaii for a week. It was awesome. Wjile there, I went ona submarine that went down 150 ft., went to the island Lanai, one of the most isolated, and best snorkeling spots, and much more in a week. Anyways, I have to tell my story of insulting every My Chemical Romance fan who watched a video of Billy Corgan joking around that he's the singeers dad (he isn't really). I started disowning them insulting some emo chick just to start of my rampage of emo hating, and I got three angry replies. I continued on insulting them, and eventually got people to support me. And now, there's a war, all thanks to me. Thank you, thank you, I'll accept my award later.

On an unrelated story, Stephen Colbert is the bottom-kickingest comedian on the planet according to me, me, me, myself, and I.

I'm re-doing my Tarantula video on an actual camera instead of just a web-cam in a bit. I'll also do the winner of my poll.

Revised Voting List/Guess The Song/S*it My Camera's Screwed Up etc.

Okay, my camera's mic is s*it. I tried to cover "Mallowship Slinky in B Major" by RHCP today, but it turned out sounding like the noise was traveling through water and fading out for millaseconds at a time over and over. I'll just use a digital camera if my parents ever buy a new one, and it has sound, it works.

Okay, now vote, or leave. I revised to narrow it down for easier decisions. P.S. This vote's for a video that I'll put on this website, I'll put all these on YouTube eventually, and then I'll hopefully play "Outshined" as requested by Sharky.

1. Mellowship Slinky in B Major

2. That's The Way (My Love Is)

3. Reach For the Sky

4. All Apologies

5. Let Them Eat War

6. Honest Goodbye

7. Heart-Shaped Box

8. Blood Sugar Sex Magik

9. American Jesus

10. Smells Like Teen Spirit (again, but better)

Oh yeah, and I only have one vote so far." All Apologies"by Nirvana, voted by Elmis.

Guess the song, orshove it(ooo, I'm pissed off right now :P) Just to piss everybody off and make it harder for you to guess the song, I removed the name of the song everywhere it is said in the lyrics. P.S. Elmis, if you find it to easy, give it a couple days and if nobody else gets it, I'll let you go, and if you don't know it, I'll say what it is.

I refuse to abuse what is kind to the Muse,
But it's there and it's happening to me ____________.
As we go through the snow, we cannot forget our foes,
But the dinner's always waiting at the table ___________, yeah.

What you see, not for me, isn't what you planned to be,
But you'll have what you wanted in the end _______________.
And we'll try as we cry and our brothers pass us by,
To be strong through the ages of our tears ____________, yeah.

Now we grow as we show that the morals we must know
Will be shapen and mistaken by the falls ____________.
But forget, don't regret, to find love and happiness
Unless you're willing to be strong when they are gone ____________.
Like Tommy, you are free, and you will not follow me,
Until we see each other once more on the path ________________.

Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha *stops for breath* Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!!!

Now you'll never get it :P.

And i just finished Harry Potter 7 today (8/6/07). It rocked.

Comment and vote please.

Fun Music Fact

I kust saw this and though it was extremel weird and cool.

Did you know, that on Bad Religion's 1993 album "Recipe For Hate", Eddie Vedder of Pearl Jam provided guest vocals for "American Jesus" and "Watch it Die", and co-wrote the goofy last track "Stealth"? I never would've expected that considering how big Pearl Jam, but I guess they weren't at one time.

Don't forget to vote in my poll from last blog and guess the song.

I Got My New Guitar...

Well, actually I got it two days ago, but was too busy using it to post. I know find myself on a binge of guitar playing, learning a song a day. Yesterday I learned "Reach For The Sky" by Social Distortion, and today I learned "Mellowship Slinky in B Major" by RHCP. I had to search through ten songs to find one I really wanted to learn. Tomorrow I'm planning on learning as much of "That's The Way (My Love Is)" by SMashing Pumpkins as I can (if I find a power tab, whichI probably won't),, and continue the next day. If I can't find a power tab, I'll learn "Cherub Rock", which I know there's a tab for. And if that's not enough, on Sunday I'm recording "All Apologies with the band I recently joined's singer Hudson. And still, I'm finishing learning "Doomsday Clock" by Smashing Pumpkins (I realized of my favorite bands, I know the least Pumpkins, other than Hendrix who is very difficult to learn). All with my new guitar, which by the way is the most badass guitar ever, yet still beautifully finished and shaped. The sound is great too, especially for harmonics.

Lastly, I want to make a new video cover for YouTube, but don't know what to do, so I'll do what Elmis did, and create a vote. Let's see, I'm gonna pick...

1. Mellowship Slinky in B Major

2. Reach For the Sky

3. A second version of Tarantula with my new guitar which sounds better for it

4. All Apologies

5. Put Smells Like Teen Spirit back

6. Let Them Eat War

7. Honest Goodbye

8. We're Only Gonna Die

9. Purple Haze (not my best song, but I'm pretty good at it)

10. Re-do "Readymade"

11. Blood Sugar Sex Magik

12. American Jesus

13. Hey Joe (with my own solo)

14. Heart-Shaped Box (still learning, might take a couple days before I record it)

15. F**k Armageddon

The ones I'd do best are Mellowship, Reach For The Sky, and Honest Goodbye

I'll eventually re-do Tarantula no matter what though, I'll still leave the first one if you like that one, but have a second one.

And Lastliest :P, a guess the song, I'll give the whole song, say what it is. ELMIS, WE ALL KNOW YOU KNOW IT, SO LET SOMEBODY ELSE GET IT :D. YOU WILL GET IT IN LITERALLY A SECOND SO DON'T BOTHER

In my eyes
Indisposed
In disguise as no one knows
Hides the face
Lies the snake
The sun in my disgrace
Boiling heat
Summer Stench
'Neath the black the sky looks dead
Call my name through the cream
And I'll hear you scream again

(Chorus)
Black hole sun
Won't you come
And wash away the rain
Black hole sun
Won't you come
Won't you come
Won't you come
Won't you come

Stuttering
Cold and damp
Steal the warm wind tired friend
Times are gone for honest men
Sometimes far too long for snakes
In my shoes
Walking sleep
In my youth I pray to keep
Heaven send hell away
No one sings like you anymore

Chorus x2
Won't you come (Black hole sun, black hole sun) x4

Hang my head
Drown my fear
Till you all just disappear

Chorus x3

Won't you come (Black hole sun, Black hole sun) x7

Now It's Time For The First Ever...

Who did/said/was called that quiz, sponsored by Grant, and created by...Grant!!!

I was just thinking of some clever ideas to make a quiz out of. The rules are simple. Just name the famous/infamousmusician being talked about.

1. "I've been called a p***y by former fellow band-mates for using something called Finger-ease for easy gliding."

2. "I quoted Neil Young's saying, 'Bettter to burn out than to fade away' in a special note."

3. (You better get this one) "I once posed the question to my friends, 'Do you think I will live to be 28?' weeks before I died at the age of 27."

4. "Despite being a punk legend, I have a Phd. in evolutionary paleontology and multiple other degrees."

5. "The band which I am frontman of had their first tour alongside Red Hot Chili Peppers, opening for them along with Pearl Jam."

6. "My main guitar has a large sticker which says 'Orange County' on it."

7. "I was once in a successful grunge band. but after it fell apart, I formed my own band playing a different instrument, and have been successful again."

8. "I died from cancer at a young age, due to the fact that I would not have the infected part amputated for religious purposes."

9. "I died at age 50 from a congenital heart defect."

10. "I have had a huge drug problem which caused me to leave my band for a long period of time. Upon returning, I found great success."

ANSWERS ARE IN WHITE TEXT BELOW, INBETWEEN THE LINES (drag from line to line)

New Guitar in 3 Days

I just received a phonecall from the website I ordered my guitar from the website I ordered my SG fromthat they received my guitar at their warehouse today, and they upgraded the shipping to three day. and I should get it on Friday. I'm so excited.

In related news, my first band practice/recording is on Sunday. I'll have my new guitar for it.

In unrelated news, I'm going to Hawaii on the 8th.

F**k Yeah! I got a...

BAND!!! I went to a camp that was really funon Catalina Island and I found an actor kid who has a really good voice from Hollywood we played "All Apologies" together, and it sounded so good. He informed me that he has a band in which he sings, and they recently lost their guitarist, so I'm in! His garage is even a studio that we can record in. I'm really excited about this, so I'll go play in celebration.

Another New Cover!

[video=cHQ0xTWq5b8Msz_f]

This is Smashing Pumpkins' "Today". Such a great song. I woke up this morning and decided to learn it. I learned it all the way through so fast I decided to make a video. I played Billy Corgan's part, rather than James, who actually (unusually) plays lead guitar for this song.
