I Got Modded!!

Gosh! I was just in the Ask the Mods forum, and I replied in a topic. Within TWO MINUTES I get a PM saying that I now have a warning! That's bull!

They said they only want mods to reply in threads there... Well then why don't they just block it to where no one else can reply? That's what normal forums do. To be specific, most normal forums don't have a forum for asking mods; they let you e-mail someone, where your concerns aren't shown to the general public.

Meh. Suppose it's not the worse that could happen. Still, it's bull.

Oh well. While I'm posting, I made yet ANOTHER new video intro... Yes.

This one is byfar my best. I made a GMod Character jump through a window using Green Screen. It took the longest to make, and it turned out good.

I'm working on making a live action version of it. I'm waiting to get a green cloth to hang on my projector screen. It will be basically the same thing, though with me instead of a GMod character. The reason for that being is because if the intro with the GMod Character goes in all of my videos, none of them will EVER be eligible for revenue sharing.

Essentially, revenue sharing is when your video makes it past 1,000 views, if 100% of the material is your own, you can get money for the views. Any footage of gameplay counts as not your own material. It's legal to put it in your videos, though you just can't make money off of them. It's no big deal, but I'd like to have a live action version for videos of mine that would otherwise qualify for revenue sharing after 1,000 views.

Meh (that's one of my favorite words :P)

Here's the link for the intro I made.

Update (Website + Intro + Voice)

Hey guys. I found a new voice actor yesterday (yuss). He's really really good, and has a perfect voice for the character I wanted. He just contacted me and offered his voice very professionally, I listened to his demo reel, and I accepted him. I just sent him his lines this morning, and he's assured me that he'll get to work ASAP on them.

Other than him, there's only one other voicer that I'm waiting on, whom I gave a deadline of 2/13 (four days). He, too, has assured me that he can get his lines done by then.

So, after I have 100% of lines, I'll get to work. I'll most likely make an entry to say so, as well. So, here for the next week or two, I might not be able to comment on your guys' blogs, while also not posting my own. I apologize for that. :(

Also, I just made another video intro lately. It's my best so far, IMO. Link

OOOH!! And I just now remembered!! I made a website! If you guys wanna check it out, that'd be awesome! And if you, yourself wants to make a website, I recommend webs.com. It's what I used. You can make a pretty nice website using their tools. You don't even really have to know a lot of know-how on HTLM or CSS or anything like that. I recommend it. It's free, too.

But anyway, here's the link. (none of the links will take you away from GS)

Well, as always, thanks for reading!

Funny Halo 3 Suicide

I had a pretty funny suicide in Halo 3 from a Chopper shooting my Warthog. I posted it to Youtube.

Enjoy. :)

Update on The Big Story (my upcoming Machinima)

The voice actor for the kidnapper had dropped out, and I replaced him with minimal stress (the new actor was the one in the preview clip a few blogs ago), and I'd been trying to contact the voice actor who was supposed to be doing the role of Trent, one of the biggest roles in it. He was offline from Youtube for about a week, while I was attempting to contact him. I e-mailed him several days ago, and just this morning, I received an e-mail from him. He told me that his computer has been acting up (he was typing the e-mail from his iPod touch) and he wouldn't be able to do the lines. So, this morning I've been searching the internet for voice actors.

I'm not too worried, though. There are some talented people on Youtube, just some of them haven't been online for a while, and I'm not even going to bother contacting them at all.

Plus, a friend recommended to me a website for voice actors to find/offer work. I made a thread there for The Big Story.

Luckily, nearly all of the other voices are done. The kidnapper actor is supposed to send me his lines sometime today, the actor for Warren sent me his lines nearly a week ago (Warren is the second largest role, so yay), the role of the secratary has already sent me in her lines, and the role of the officer should be getting in his lines very soon. And I'm doing the role of the mayor (as of now), and I've finished those lines!

So after I get Trent's role settled, it will hopefully be smooth sailing!

Oh, and for anyone interested, this is the link to the VA thread.

Rented Mass Effect 2

So I just rented Mass Effect 2, and none to my surprise, I'm not finding it as "my kind of game".

For those of you who don't know, I did the same with Mass Effect 1; renting to see what the fuss was all about. I could DEFINITELY see why so many people like it. It's so in-depth, some of the best graphics I've everseen, and nice fighting mechanics.

Though, I just can't seem to wrap myself into it. It's really frustrating (not the game)! I really really do want to like Mass Effect, but I just can't seem to get into it!

I guess it's just one of those games that isn't for everyone. Though it's odd, since Halo and Fallout are a few of my favorite games, and Mass Effect brings the sci-fi from Halo and the RPG elements of Fallout together... I just can't seem to like it like everyone else does.

Like I said, I can understand why others like it, it's just not the game for me.

Oh, well. Maybe if I keep playing it, I will adjust to it.

Do Games Effect Your Life Answers? (And Also, Update)

So I released a Preview for my Upcoming Machinima. Link

Also, new trailer for Fallout: New Vegas. It's epic. More questions than answers, but that's why they call it a teaser, I guess.

[video=6249461]

Also, Important Things With Demetri Martin is coming back tonight!! I'm really looking forward to it!

Also, a bit of a theory came up recently today... Do games effect your answers in real life? The reason why I'm thinking this is because at school we were discussing flaws in writing, and came to the topic of what a cliche is. They asked if any of us knew, and someone answered. Then they asked for an example. No one answered, so I did. I said "A group of gangsters killing someone's dad, since it happens in millions of movies". Then I realized that it's also happened in lots of games, which is probably where I got the idea to say that.

Then, later in math we were taking some little simple survey, mainly to keep us busy after the test and for the remainder of the block. One of the questions was to illustrate a career that uses math, other than a scientist or a math teacher. So, I thought of engineer. And to illustrate it, I drew an Engie from Team Fortress 2.

So, what's your guys' opinion?

Perfect World: First Impressions

Okay... So I've played Perfect World (in total) for probably between 1-2 hours. Definitely not enough to write a full review, but I do have some thoughts.

It seems to be what RuneScape tried to be. In that meaning, I mean that it got the concept of RuneScape and completely owned it. It leaves you in a nice open world and lets you do as you please. There are four races to choose from: Human, Elf, Untamed, and (I forget the name) some sort of Fish creature. Then there are about 2-3 classes that are exclusive to the race, so (if I did my math right) there's 12 different ways to play the game. If I did that math wrong, someone correct me. :D

The Human is a basic person, mainly for basic sword-slashing gameplay.

Untamed is like some half-human-half-beast thing. They look awesome.

Elves are taller creatures with wings. Mainly for ranged combat (either bow and arrow or magic). They can't fly very far or fast, but it can be used to get some places or maybe escape from an enemy.

And the Fish thingys are basic, but can turn into fish when in water.

I'm enjoying being a human.

The world is HUGE. And the exploration is nice, since everyone can jump pretty high. I like to climb on top of buildings and just mess around.

I've noticed some occasional lag, but nothing to deteriorate from the game.

The game has an obvious Asian style and culture. Many of the towns have Asian architecture implemented into the game, and many of the NPCs' names are ones like "Ling" and "Yaon".

The community is a pretty vast one. Especially in the towns. Though, with a world this huge, it can be hard, at times to find other players out there. It's best to meet some people in the towns and then go and mess around.

The game has (so I've heard) over 2000 quests.

You can get pets if you find eggs, then take them to a zooligist who will hatch them and give you a baby pet to raise, and some of which can be mounted (when older) or fight in combat with you.

The Character customization is in-depth, to say the very least. It nearly brings you to The Sims level of character customization. Very very in-depth for an MMO.

So, overall, the game is looking fun. I don't think it's something that I'll be glued to or anything, but a nice time-killer when I have nothing else to do.

It's completely free, though the download took me about three hours, and I'm running on DSL (via Wi-Fi, but still...). Just a heads up, if you're planning on downloading it, to be ready for a long download time.

If you are interested in downloading it, you can visit their website here.

As always, thanks for reading.

Perfect World

Well I'm currently downloading Perfect World. I'd heard about it being one of the most successful Free-to-play MMORPGs out there and all, and it looked pretty good. It's free, so I have nothing to lose.

Guild Wars has been fun, but I'm looking for something with a more of a "freedom" aspect. In Guild Wars, you go through the towns and do missions and that's it. There's nothing to do in the towns or out in the world. All it is is an empty area with enemies. The game is great, but as an MMO it could use more. It felt like an online co-op game, since it's more focused on the storyline missions rather than roaming the free world.

This game looks to be a bit more like what I'm looking for.

The download says it will take about two and a half hours (2000 some-odd MBs), so I won't be able to play it for a bit >.

TF2 Addiction!

You guys know a few weeks ago when I got Team Fortress 2? Well I'm just now getting into it and I can hardly stop! Mainly because I was an epic fail noob in it ever since I got it. Then the other night I was playing it and I noticed I'm actually decent now! I've learned some nice tactics for placing Sentries, good snipe spots, how to predict movement better, effective spy methods, and lots more.

I'm actually pretty good as a Medic. I stay with a lot of the Engineers back at my team's base, healing them when enemies come. Then when wounded teammates come back to the base, I heal them, and whenever necessary, I take some of the health from the Spawn Room. I usually get Ubercharge 100% pretty quickly.

I gotta say that this is a good game, mainly because of how much teamwork is involved, and also how none of the classes are completely overpowered. Each class has their strengths/weaknesses.

Usually, I'll hope onto my computer when I'm supposed to be editing for The Big Story, and I'll think to myself Hmm.... Well, I can take a little five minute Team Fortress break.... SIX tops...Then I find that I've been playing for an hour! :P

Lol

Any of you guys have TF2?

Fan Page!

I decided to make a Fan page for my Youtube videos on Facebook, since a lot of people do...

I'd appreciate it if any of you who might have a Facebook fan it, but I also completely understand if you don't want to. So, just fan if you want. If you don't want to fan, that's fine. :)

Just thought I'd throw it out here.

100th Entry Special!!

So here I am.. 100 entries... Finally. :P

I've been not as active on GS for a bit. The reason being because I've been swamped... I'm starting a new Machinima project, entitled "The Big Story". It's going to be a crime/drama/action Halo 3 Machinima about the mayor of a town getting kidnapped.

For the full scoop on this project, go here.

I'm a little into it now.. I'm about a minute into the first part. I have two voice actors recruited, and I'm working on getting some more. I'm awaiting some responses soon. :D

For anyone wondering, I submitted my other Guild Wars music video to Machinima.com, and it should be up any day now. It usually takes a week to get on their channel, and it's been about that much. They go through a lot of screening for the videos. When it gets up, I'll be sure to link it in a blog. :D

Sorry I've been missing a few of your guys' blogs. I might miss a few here soon. This is just a big project, and I'm trying to get it done before April 2010.

Well I guess this is the end of the entry! :D
