Perfect Insanity

Some of you may have thought I went off the deep end recently with my comment in that banned thread huh? As usual, some got the joke and some didn't but that is to be expected since we are not one hive mind aka the Borg. I harbor no ill will to those individuals who didn't take it as a joke and didn't stick up for me if/when they had a chance. As I posted and stated over AIM numerous times already if user "A" said that to user "B" they would have got moderated unless they could prove they were both joking with each other. I don't even remember the users name that I said that to so that doesn't apply here and I am not above the law. I had to get it out of my system as it had been slowly escalating up to last night and it is done. It was a one-off so no need to worry about me getting admitted to Pilgrim State(when it was operational) any time soon. Sorry to disappoint my enemies:( Apparently the internet is serious business. Who woulda thunk it?!?!

In other news, my time on the Moderator DL is progressing well. I was rehabbing my mouse hand and it felt good so far. I need a few more sessions with it to make sure it will last the full year and then I need to work on my typing skills along with my left hand. I'll keep you all updated.

Now where did I put that Scythe.....

Along with Breaking Benjamin, I too, Had Enough!

For a while I felt like Superman on GameSpot. Today I somehow managed to come in contact with Red Kryptonite and bye bye went the admin powers:(I think evil Chicknfeet left it by my locker late last night knowing I would come in contact when I came in today but that's neither here nor there.

Just to avoid all confusion I am taking a self-imposed Moderator break with no set time limit. You remember those from last year, yes? I am not leaving the site. I already had someone ask if that was what happened. I also stripped myself of the admin powers. Still feels weird clicking on a bookmark to a hidden forum only to get an access denied message. Hopefully the habit will break soon. Also, threads looks so neat now that I don't see the deleted posts. You all don't realize how good you have it:P I have seen the moderation queue empty!:o It really isn't but I see it that way since I don't have access to see reports now.

In other news, that window is still broken. Ridiculous how long this is taking to fix. We got like 4 estimates and decided yesterday to go with one company so they had to order the glass. No idea glass was in such short supply that it had to be ordered. It isn't like I needed some ellusive part for my truck that they had to order from overseas:? They say they should have it within a week. I just want to be able to open it and get some fresh air, ya know?

On the game front been playing Dirt 3 while waiting on GF to ship Dungeon Siege III next Monday hopefully.

On the book front I finally ordered a Kindle Monday so it should be arriving tonight. Trying to decided what the first book will be that I buy.

That's about it folks!

The malicious rock/pebble

So yeah, as if I didn't have enough **** on my plate already I now acquired a new enemy last night. While the backyard was being mowed last night my new buddy must have been laying in wait for his one chance in life to finally cause destruction like he was meant to. Now the lawn had been mowed a million times since April 2010 but never, ever has one rock/pebble stepped up their game to be a total ass and ruin someone's day/night till now. Apparently, (I didn't see--I heard it) a rock or pebble was shot due to the rotation of the blade of the lawn mower and it decided to make a beeline for the glass on the back door. What ****ing aim that little bugger had. 100% nothing but glass he/she hit and it had to be the baby of the bunch because it didn't make it through. Presumably it bounced off but the damage had already been done. With the lawn mower long turned off you can now hear the sounds of millions of cracks forming and it was progressively getting harder to look through the door at this point. That **** seriously went on for over an hour! Luckily for us *knocks on wood* it hasn't shattered all over "yet". I am trying to call to get an estimate. For the wiseasses, I already called Ghostbusters but they claim they are busy in some crappy game recently released. Why not just call the insurance company? Well if this is cheap enough to fix I rather not file a claim that would only raise the insurance. The house is older than me if you can believe that so if for some reason I get told they can't replace the glass and the whole door needs to be replaced then I will call insurance.

Here's a pic of glass.

The End of the Line

I am still stuck in a rut gaming-wise. GameFly mailed out L.A. Noire (I've been loking forward to this for a while) today so I will try one last game to see if I can get hooked and if not I'll just try taking an indeterminate break from all video games in general. I am doing this as a last resort because I do hope this is a little bump in the road and not something bigger(stop gaming forever?)

In other news, a friend recently pointed out to me my gamerscore of 44,4444444444444444444444444444444444444. Odly I never noticed that but what did irk me was every time I looked I saw I needed to find some achievement worth 1 point so I could get back into multiples of five like normal. Yeah, I am a strange one!

Nothing else really going on right now but I'm looking forward to E3 and that may be why the days are dragging in general for me. Got just about 3 weeks to go now!

Don't Ask Me Why

Seriously, don't bother because I haven't got the answer:( Mafia II briefly thwarted my problem (I posted about it in this blog) with not being able to get hooked into a game lately even though it had a very craptacular ending. It was a short game and I haven't had the motivation to dive into the DLC yet so I am back to where I started again. Deja vu? Yeah I guess.

I am trying to be the responsible parent so I cancelled my pre-order of L.A.Noire recently and will now just rent it from GameFly. Speaking of GameFly the last game I rented was pretty crappy too. Thor: God of Thunder anyone? I got through the first chapter/area/whatever it is was called and immediately took the game out of the 360, stuck it back in the mailer and drove it to the post office to send it back. Same day returns FTL! Way too repetitive and too much mindless button mashing. Now I did read reviews so I knew how bad critics were panning it but since I love me any kind of mythology I decided to give it the ol' college try. Oh well, this was not meant to be.

So since I can't get hooked on a single game I have been going through XLA titles like I hope people change their underwear. Some I play for 5 minutes and others for like 30 or more but still none can get me to sink my teeth into and not let go! So I fall back on my safety net for times like these and play a game that I am awfully close to 300 hours in which is amazing for a game that is not strictly a RPG. What game do I refer to? Well Borderlands of course! I keep doing random things. Been farming Crawmerax a lot lately and got a few nice weapons but still no elusive Pearl. Also been farming the Knoxx Armory and got a nice new shiny Sniper Mod but since I ****ed up and finished that DLC on playthrough 1 it takes a lot of ****ing patience because on play through 2 they leveled up above me as you have to solo a level 70 General Knoxx to half health. While this is going on 2 level 70 Robots decided to join in with Knoxx. So I then leave Knoxx alone and concentrate on both robots. Once they are finally dead I go back to fighting Knoxx and when he gets down to 50% health the Calvary comes as 3 Combat Medics arrive and begin healing Knoxx. So I go and take care of the 3 Medics so I can finally start to whittle Knoxx's health down. Before I finish with him a level 70 Bad Ass Robot joins in to make my life miserable. "Bad Ass" just means they are a hell of a lot harder to kill than a normal enemy. So yeah, that takes too much time and patience to solo. Anybody ever need help just hit me up on Live.

So here I am with no clue what to try yet again. I was gonna rent Lego Pirates but I think it is too soon for me. I love the Lego games but I can't play them that close together. I'm just gonna wait till that gets marked down and buy it eventually. Nothing else before L.A.Noire looks any good to rent so my GameFly queue will be bare until that ships presumably next Monday and takes a full week to get here from Pittsburgh:roll:

Well time to go make the donuts!

Communication Breakdown

Why on earth would anybody be caught outside in public singing in this day and age of the cell phone is beyond me. I feel for the guy but he really shouyld have known better. Also, if you don't know the words all the more reason NOT to sing outside in public:P I lost my coffee on my entire keyboard:( Not a great Start to Monday but it was worth it

He was trying to sing The Game albeit very unsuccessfully.

In other news, I have yet to find a game that will let me sink my fangs into and hook me in fully. I've been playing a ton of XBLA games and none can keep my interest. I was excited to play the latest WWE game sent from GameFly and once that arrived I was less than impressed as all bigger men are way overpowered and it just wasn't that fun to me. I thought I was gonna be taken back to the great wrestling days from the N64 era but I wasn't sadly. I am having a hard time coming up with ideas for my next rental. Anybody have any ideas?

I'll leave you with one of my favorite quotes from my secret lover:

"You may think you're **** hot, but you haven't seen the BADASS wave yet!"

Takin' Care of Business

I have to head out on down 95 on Sunday and wanted to see if we have any avid book readers/listeners that can offer ideas for me. I am passionate about my music I listen to but I can only listen to so much per each 8 hour block(the lonely drive down and back up). Anybody have any recommendations for audio books? The genre I most identify with is Horror. King, Koontz and Saul are my 3 favorite authors.

You don't only have to refer to horror. I was just giving an idea of what I like to read:P

I'm Not Dead

"I'm not dead just floating
I'm not scared just changing
You're my crack of sunlight, yeah!"

This thread got me thinking about how I must be in the minority--at least among younger users of the site. Now, I was once with the majority. Ever since I came so close to dying in 1998 I lost my fear of dying. I had thought about it so much while I was in the hospital that year that it started to become second nature. I had already prepared myself for what I thought was the inevitable--death. (I was getting worse and I was on the highest dose of meds they could give me.)Sp now I honestly have no fear of dying.

Are you scared of dying and, if so, why are you afraid?
