To start this blog off positively I will say I finally got the snow I wanted--14 inches on December 26th--but I was too sick to enjoy it. "Awwwwww, poor baby". Yes, poor baby is I!

Anyway, let's rewind. Around the middle of December I got/caught a cold. The only 2 over-the-counter meds I can ever take when I'm sick, as a former transplant patient, are Mucinex and Tylenol(I'm allergic to Aspirin). I take these and if I get worse(it always gets worse....go figure)I head in to my family Doc to get a script for an antibiotic. Well Mucinex and Tylenol lasted me until Christmas Day or thereabouts. The next day(26th)was Sunday so I couldn't go to the Doc's as they are normally closed. Monday---we just got 14 inches of snow the night before so they are closed again...UGH! By this time I was really feeling like **** and even contemplated going to the E.R. I do have a bit of a fear of going to hospitals now ---which given my situation of going in for a test one day almost 13 years ago and not coming out till just about a year later I believe that fear is justified! Anyway, so Tuesday hits and now I was just miserable and have been in bed for 3 days straight(if ya know me that is way too much time in bed for me and I am starting to go crazy)and feel miserable. I didn't even feel like getting up to get dressed and head out to the Doc but I had to get that script. I coerced myself to drive there and wait another 2 hours in the waiting room(so much fun when you are sick and time goes even slower:roll:). After 3 full days of antibiotics I am finally able to start getting out of bed. I don't ever recall being so sick like this that I was stuck in bed for so long. I am just glad to be back working again(never thought I'd say that)starting today. Hell, in that last week I got out of bed for more than 5 minutes a grand total of 2 times---once to hit up the Doc for a script and once to wish someone a happy birthday(this was actually the first time I turned on the PC in over a week too!).


I hope everybody else had a much, much better week that was and happy belated New Year to all!

Title is self-explanatory because if I did then I wouldn't be asking for help with my banner and Twitter background! Thread title looks weird not capitalized. Oh well!

Alright, to be fair I will accept submissions for a week. I know that sounds long but some people don't login in each day. The only thing I usually do on the weekend myself is check in on the Moderators so take those 2 days away from me as well.

I will close take all submissions up until next Thursday (October 14th) till 12 Noon EST. Remember now there are 2 ways to win unless one users gets lucky and I pick both the GS banner and Twitter background then they win both prizes. Sure me not telling everybody what the prizes are will limit who submits something but I can tell you now it will seriously be their loss and that's all I can say about that subject;)

Anyway, the title is referring to me when I stated about 2 years ago there would be no chance in hell I would ever make a Twitter account. I have finally got with the times here but that's not what the blog is about. I was searching through backgrounds for that account and they are ALL bland and boring! I tried uploading a few of mine from my hard drive but they were no good because they always had images getting blocked out in the middle. I was searching Google to look for a Castlevania wallpaper thinking I could use that but again they all have images in the middle.

1. So where you all come in is I'm looking for an original fan made background 'Castlevania' style (maybe Alucard and Dracula on each side?). Use your imagination. If you have a Twitter account it will probably be easier as you could test it on your account to see how it looks.
2. I was also hoping I could get some volunteers for a new banner on my profile since the Van Halen one is over 3 years old now. With the new Castlevania coming out in a few days I would like something original based on Lords of Shadow.

Do we have anybody up to the task? I can't say what exactly (don't want to sway users one way or the other) but there will be "something" of value given to the 2 users whose creations for the Twitter background and profile banner I end up choosing. I want to give it at least a week.

PLEASE READ--Do NOT post links to them in this blog. Save them to your hard drive and I will make a new blog next Thursday for you to post links in. They will get lost here and I will NOT count them if you can't read and follow instructions;)

EDIT: BTW, I ship international so all users overseas are welcome as well!
