A Boricua (Puerto Rican) reporting! So that would be from the Americas.
DragonxanderPR's forum posts
Why do most people here in System Wars ignore the handheld consoles!? It's almost all about TV consoles & the ocassional PC! I do agree with your observation. The DS has the biggest library (at least regarding good games), most consoles sold, & it actually appeals to practically anyone!
By the way, Nintendo needs to enforce the same advantages & content for the Wii, if they want their former core fanbase to support them forever &/or to establish a near-monopoly on the videogame market.
It depends on which usage you plan to give them. This is how I would sum it up:
PS3 is best if you:
- Love PS exclusives
- Want to watch Blu-Ray movies
- Want to have a console that will last for longer & that has new games for a longer time
- Want to use it heavily for basic online gameplay, especially via a Wi-Fi connection
- Don't mind to pay extra at first to get a great product on the long term
- Don't mind your multiplats to have really limited DLC
- Prefer your game discs to be more durable (Blu-Rays are more durable that DVDs), as well as with tons of included content
X360 is best if you:
- Love Xbox exclusives
- Love games available for PC & 360
- Love online gaming in general (game renting, online gameplay, DLC games, cross-game chat...) & don't mind to pay extra for the service
- Want DLC for multiplats
- Don't have trouble with wired connections or if you can afford a Wi-Fi adapter for the console
- Don't mind having a less reliable system (although the recently produced ones have acceptable failure rates)
- Love your multiplats to have tons of DLC
If you ask me, I went with the PS3. I do love PS3 exclusives, free basic online gameplay, that my console will have stuff for it for a longer time & the Blu-Ray advantages.
Almost the same as the Wii, PS3 & 360 challenges. Knowing that PCs are significantly different from TV consoles in terms of gaming; there are some important adjustments to the rules. This time I'm asking for any good PC games entering the market since 2005. They would be 16 franchises or 32 individual games, as long as they meet the following rules:
-They must be PC exclusives (if it's for the Xbox 360, then it has to go away).
-No expansion packs.
-No timed-exclusives.
-No website minigames.
-No minigame collections based on messengers, included with the computer, or the like (except for real PC videogame demos that may have been included).
-No games simulating board games.
-No general multiplats.
-No emulations.
-No remakes or adaptations of retro games.
-MMO games are allowed, whether they are free or paying.
All posts related to the topic are allowed, as long as they abide forum rules.
This poll confuses me honestly. I don't even know what you are asking for?
The_Brodeo
About the poll, I'm asking if the user who answer the thread would be able to provide as many exclusive & good games or franchises as asked. The results would be based on possible comments derived from the numbers.
As an hypothetical example:
Xega Supernova (24 games or 12 franchises meeting the posted rules): 27 games
appropiate poll answer: "Piece of cake! The Supernova has a great library of its own!"
Hope this helps.
Like with the PS3 & the 360 challenges; it's about the same. This time, I'm asking for 12 exclusive franchises or 20 exclusive games, being those that are to be considered good (those that clearly help to justify a console's purchase). The for the Wii are the following:
-Wii Sports & Wii Play aren't allowed because the first one has great sales due in part to being bundled with the Wii in several regions; & the second one because its sales being propelled because of being bundled with a controller.
-Of the downloadable games, only those exlcusive & native to the Wii are allowed (no Virtual Console for retro systems, no multiplats, no PC/Wii shared titles).
-No Gamecube native titles.
-No Gamecube remakes.
-No general multiplats of any other kind.
-No timed exclusives (if any, I'm not sure about them).
-No Wii Channels that aren't officially games.
As always, all posts related to the topic are welcome, as long as they abide forum rules.
About the adressing towards cows because of listing those many games, then why do many of the lemmings focused on bashing then? Or both are decent gropus, or none are decent groups.
About my first impressions on lemmings I know about, here they are:
3 Xboxers from my 11th grade class: they all only have the Xbox 360 as their 7th gen TV console, & say the 360 is way better than the PS3. So how they argument in favor of that? Halo, Gears, some Fable II & the general multiplats. Just pathetic. At least I've found decent proof about the 360 having enough good games, though many of the posts in this thread either don't fulfill the rules in some way (especially the # of games part) &/or prefer to focus on boasting about my ownage. Meanwhile, the PS3 thread has much longer exclusive games lists & it has no significan ownage boasting from the PlayStationers' side. If you don't believe the latter, you may check the thread by yourselves (check "My Posting History" on my User Profile page & search for "A challenge for PlayStationers!").
How come PlayStationers have hefty proof of the PS3's worth in terms of exclusive games while the thread for Xboxers has tons of comments focusing on ownage boasting!? Many of the 360 lists don't fulfill all the criteria.
I'll post the "A challenge for Wii-ers!" thread tomorrow night, so be on the lookout for it! Also, at the end of all the posts for the 7th gen systems, I'll make an analysis thread about this thread series.
