[QUOTE="truassasin"]What are the chances of a 360 getting the RROD?
I really want to buy one, but I am afraid that I may face the RROD.

Microsoft say that 33%(I beg to differ) Xbox 360's are faulty,so lets look at it this way,if u walk in to Wal-mart and you see 6 360's (allegedly) 2 of the 6 360's will be broken.Simple math really:D
They claim 3% I believe. Either way it probably is 33% or higher considering I have had two 360's. The first one died and they sent me the refurbished one which died twice. So as far as I'm concerned they fail at a rate of 150%.
[QUOTE="Dark_Pheonix01"]Congrats. I still dont even have wi-fi in the house. :(MuffinPunk
Neither do I, but a direct connection is more reliable so I rather be wired.
I have no problems with my wireless, works just as good.
They are coming out with something else, it has rumble but its "New tech". Allows you to feel the rumble in the area your character was hit and what not.falconclan
Shall I be the one to make the obvious perverted comments about that post? I don't mean to poke fun but seriously, feel the rumble in the area your character was hit.
The new gen rumble is just supposed to be more responsive, rumble fast slow. However you like it. Now anyone can make fun of my comment as well...
My 360 broke for the third time yesterday. Well I could say second as the first time my 360 broke they shipped me back one with a different serial number that I can only assume was refurbished. Now this refurbished one has died twice. I was all ready to sit down and play my brand spanking new NHL08. Surely enough when I choose the option to create a new save file, the three red lights appeared. So not only can I not play my new never played game, I won't have my 360 when Halo 3 drops. I get pissed if it was worth it, but this happening for a third time has me a bit desensitized.
I have no faith they will fix the problem permeantly. I only hope they keep track of these serial numbers and seeing this 360 has gotten the three red lights twice, they scrap it all together. Then I'd have high hopes they would send me a new one to replace it, one with the quieter dvd drive and even an hdmi port. I know thats wishful thinking, they might send me a different one because of the current one's past but I'd assume it would be a refurbished one. This is my first repair since they acknowledged the whole three red lights of death, so part of me hopes but the rest despairs.
In a year or less when my warranty expires all together and my 360 is bound to die again, I'll just have to dish out the cash for a new one. I can only pray the price keeps dropping till then.
I plan to contact Microsofts Consumer Affairs department as they are a member of Society of Consumer Affairs Professionals in Business. Not that I really expect that to do anything, they are a business and the bottom line is the almighty dollar. Considering my loyalty, I wish that would count for something but I doubt it.
Sorry if this post is long, I just needed somewhere to vent.
