I don't see a new PSP for 2 to 3 years. In fact during the Sony event they stated they are going to be pushing the PSP more than ever. HarlockJC
I'm not sure, the PSP tech can still hold it's own, but if the 3DS is very successful, it might force Sony's hand
Sony does seem to love to wait on Nintendo and then attempt to stick Nintendo's concepts into thier devices, so the question is, do you think we'll be seeing a PSP3D soon? I'm pretty certain after the showing of the 3DS sony execs are already looking into it, whats your thoughts?

I remember when the game was released, how everyone spent time **** at how badly the game ran. But 3 years later, it's still one of the best looking games out there, only difference, unlike alot of other games, it requires very little hardware to run maxed out.
I've got 4GB of RAM (avarage these days), a core 2 duo E6750 @ 2.66ghz (very low end these days), and a HD5770. For comparisons sake, in Australia a mid range graphics card is about $400, the HD5770 is a $200 card. Using this rig, I can completely max out Crysis at 1680*1050 and have it run perfectly smooth. In fact... I can't really call out any games that can't be maxed out on a simple rig like that these days, Metro 2033 is the only one that really causes issues.... But Crysis is probably the prettiest :)

i think you're confusing 'optimised' with 'well made engine'
I think your confusing the difference between "well made engine" and optimised. Optimisation is part of a well made engine...
You are partly correct. For its graphics the size of the world and the physics engine is quite optimized but there are aspects that arent that well optimized for instance Antialising which really kills performance even at only 2-4xadamosmaki
and yeah, the antialising was really bad in Crysis... should have taken a leaf outa the source engine :P

Part of wikipedia definition: "It also allows young girls to participate in semi-masturbatory rituals, since they don't have access to the masturbatory rituals common among boys"
Wut?
I doubt the interviewer did it on purpose, he just wasn't a very good interviewer. Then the media channels attempt to get the story out asap, and none of em bother to check the facts in the rush. I would think they could be held accountable for this. Defamation in the media is illegal, and on this size and scale... especially with the lack of fact checking and negligence. It's not the biggest isue in the world, but if I were in his shoes I'd be pissed enough to want to do something about it.
I do hate the ignorance shown by this 16 year old kid, and more so the people that defend it. I'm not taking him out of context, I'm using his own words. The interviewer even said 'German, german, you know german?'. Then he says he 'never heard that before, we don't say that in America.'
You're also just trying to win an argument by pinning me as prejudiced against this kid. I only heard of him about 2 weeks ago, but I am prejudiced against ignorance. Ignorance should be held accountable and ridiculed by everyone that knows what this kid said. I'm not taking him out of context, I'm using his own words. The interviewer even said 'German, german, you know german?'. Then he says he 'never heard that before, we don't say that in America.'
If he said Prussian, Barvarian or Saxon, well then I might understand, but still if he didn't then maybe he should have said 'Can you explain what said word means'? Nope, we don't say that in America, certainly I never have
Tangmashi
He thought "German" was some expression, the interviewer used the word German as an adjective as in for example "That game was so German!" In which case, the kid did not know what "german" meant, and he never did "hear that before". The interviewer used the word German in a context that didn't make sense.

I didn't say it had to be politics. Right now there are topics floating around about sport, movies, music, all topics of immensely more substance.Danm_999
Didn't realize topics in OT were being judged on their content. (at least, in terms of relevancy)
I'm not really that frustrated with the OT, more with the media circus surrounding it.haha, sign into msn once in a while, the ammount of stupid news articles that pop up is insane, they can be rather ammusing sometimes though...
