Yup I Was right every time Sony reps say something its immature..I wonder about when MS or even Nintendo does it are they immature to???

Promised_Trini

I wonder if its a coincidence that everytime someone makes this arguement that they have a Sony/PS or related Sig. and/or Avatar?

Cows keep saying... MS does it too... Ninty does it too.... but thats all I ever hear.... no one ever provides proof or examples of it happening. Why is that?

The best thing Sony can do now is to attempt to emulate Nintendo with the PSP2...

It's funny to think that Sony will bash Nintendo for what they are doing, and then months or years later, copy it. so hilarious

I own the system care to do something about it..So its okay for Nintendo and MS to bash Sony but Sony cant bash them right...

Thats the thing, I haven't heard Nintendo or MS bashing anyone this gen. I heard Nintendo and Sony complimenting each other and saying how although the compeition has some good ideas, we believe our products will be superior etc, but I've heard none of the bashing Sony do. I've definetly not heard anything on the level of Sony's insults at the actual customers.

Sony do have a point, kids wont care about 3d visuals on the ds and it will be interesting to see how Nintendo combat this.

kontejner44

what the ....

Any kids here under 12 who can vouch for kids love of 3D? I mean last I checked, 3D animated films were rather popular, and I seem to see many kids in those audiences :P

lol, didn't know bill gates did that, but that's actually kind of funny no matter who does it to who :P

I'm just thinking, Sony did this same thing with the whole motion control thing, saying how it sucks, only kids will play it, Nintendo is going to die bla bla bla. And then, well *points at move* how long do you guys think before Sony follows suit with 3D as well? It wouldn't be so bad if Sony stood in a more professional position, but they're reps seem to spend so much time mud-flinging it's getting kind of old.

um, Sony is definitely trying to imply that the DS is only played by 8 and 9 year olds, they've done the same thing before. In fact they called the whole Nintendo fanbase immature before. It's definitely not above them, and it's in line with their history

Sony is pretty much known for their rather immature reps who seem to take any opportunity to not only insult the competition, but the competition's customers. Insulting is pretty much their "thing" while Nintendo and MS have a kind of mutual respect and seem to respond to news with more adult replies, Sony is still in the back ditching rotten fish at passers by. Here's the latest from Sony in response to the whole 3DS thing.

"Having been in the portable space for quite awhile, I think it's an interesting move but one I'd like to see where they go from a demographic standpoint. 8 and 9 year-olds playing 3D is a little bit of a stretch given where some of our research is right now."

It's Sony's favourite "Nintendo is for kids" attack! They admitted they were idiots a while back after claiming the Wii would only appeal to kids and then seemingly being wrong, it's also been shown the DS has a wide demographic, yet here they go again.

Sony really need to stop letting thier employees talk, it's not doing thier image any good.

Yeah some people really over exaggerate. With a little more polish it could have been a very good game. The only thing that really broke the game was the sluggish and sometimes jittery aiming (glitches) and spotty graphics. Truthfully, I think Red Steel is one of the best looking games too. It is just that some areas of the game look like an N64 game, while other areas just look really good (the last stage comes to mind and that Geisha level looks good, and so did that funhouse level). Environmental destruction was pretty good too. gamefan67

I loved that funhouse level :P totally random

the graphics are some of the best on the Wii... just playing through it again now, I've not seen any other games on the Wii which impliment god rays. And yeah the gunplay isn't jittery at all, the cursor is slowish, but not jittery. The forward/backward zooming works fine, I haven't had any problems with it, just push forward to zoom in, or push forward quickly to go into the special slow-mo thing.

I don't care what the price is... why can't I play the game I bought for free? I've already purchased it, if I'm hosting my own server, and my friend is playing using his own internet connection with his own ISP, exactly why should I have to pay M$?

I'm happy for the experience the STALKER we know and love gave me :P

I never remembered it being as bad as people say, so I decided to go back and play it, and see if it is really crap and I was just enjoying the novelty of the controls a little too much at the time.

Conclusion is, people want a game to point the finger at and laugh at. The game isn't that bad at all. Firstly, people keep complaining about the graphics... um, you can't just complain about graphics because you don't like the gameplay, they're two different things. This game looks better then the vast majority of Wii games out now, it has god rays ffs, the NPC's can run through streams of light and create crysis style rays, something I've not seen in a Wii game since. I think at the time everyone was expecting the console to look like the 360 and PS3, and never went back and considered that fact they were being way too harsh.

Also, the controls arn't that bad, it has Z-axis (pulling and pushing the remote toward the screen) down better then nearly any game I've played, the "bullet time" style shooting out of peoples hands thing is fun too. In fact, the only thing wrong with the controls is the huge dead-zone. But they designed the combat around that, with most shooting scenes not requiring the player to turn overly much.

People should probably go back and try this game again, dunno why it got such a bad rep, but it sure doesn't deserve it.
