lol no worries. It is a dif tech though IF they're even going that way, I'd say the bet on using camera/motion to tilt a 3D scene might also be a possibility, it'd solve most of the issues I mentioned.

Keep in mind though, the 3D glassless tech is different from your cinema screens, no glasses for one!

lol, didn't know bill gates did that, but that's actually kind of funny no matter who does it to who :P

I'm just thinking, Sony did this same thing with the whole motion control thing, saying how it sucks, only kids will play it, Nintendo is going to die bla bla bla. And then, well *points at move* how long do you guys think before Sony follows suit with 3D as well? It wouldn't be so bad if Sony stood in a more professional position, but they're reps seem to spend so much time mud-flinging it's getting kind of old.

KH-mixerX

I may be mistaken, but hasn't Sony been one of the main supporters of 3D gaming for awhile? Before Nintendo announced it's 3DS(Virtual Boy doesn't count as support)? Now, I'm not condoning they're childish publish remarks. But if I'm right, then you should remove the bolded speculative question in your post.

They might support 3D, but they're insulting Nintendo for attempting to put 3D into a handheld. I'd say "following suit" and putting 3D into the PSP would effectivly be eating thier words. Same thing they did when creating the Move

It's prolly gonna be something like that. Get a clue. There's no 3D glasses involved.

And yeah, for someone who says to get a clue, you don't know much about available technology :P

[QUOTE="monkeymoose5000"]No one ever said anything about glasses.jedinat
The 3D tech the OP described and is concerned about involves glasses like you use in the theatre.

Sorry, that's not exactly right, there's 3D screens available that don't require any glasses. Thats what all these rumors are based on, Nintendo is rumored to be using 3D screens which require no 3D glasses.

yeah, I doubt Nintendo would release a flawed device, unless they pull something rather unexpected, I'm thinking maybe the rumors and such going around are a tad off or something...

You're telling me that Nintendo handhelds aren't primarily aimed at the younger audience?

Not only are Cows here ridiculed as being the worse fanboys on SWs but their Reps are being called the most immature as well? ... when will people open their eyes and realize every fanboy faction is the same and PR talk is PR talk, all Corporations have them and their paid to talk up their business and belittle the competition.

W1NGMAN-

See Sony doesn't just belittle the competition, they belittle the fanbase

"Will DSi do well with [the DS's] demographic? It probably will. Will it be a product that expands their user base [beyond] under 12? I'm not sure."

I'm not sure about you, but I don't like being called "under 12" at one point Sony even more directly insulted the Wii fanbase by calling all the WIi gamers immature.

Um, I'm not sure how nobody has realised this yet. 3D screens allow images to seemingly pop out of the screen, the DS is a touch screen device. Touch screen + 3D does not work. Not only would touching a 3D screen interfere with the light the screen is attempting to send to each eye, it would also be very hard to even accuratly touch the correct part of the screen due to the optical illusion being used to generate the 3D effect.

To put it simply, 3D cannot work with the main draw of the DS... I have no idea how Nintendo plans to market this.

EDIT: Further, graphic capabilities will be minimised. At the very least they will require double the graphical horsepower due to needing to render 2 images, resolution may also be nerfed depending on how it is implimented.

[QUOTE="Mario1331"]

[QUOTE="RedruM_I"] *Looks up at the examples I just posted* OwnedRedruM_I

but wheres a quote for nintendo to also proof his other part of his post invalid?

A recent one. "I think we would have been embarrassed to do what our competitors are currently doing," Fils-Aime said to Kotaku, stressing that for Nintendo, it's of vital importance to innovate rather than follow. "So, all I can tell you is that we will innovate. We will provide something new. Something that the consumer and the industry will look at and say, 'Wow, I didn't see that coming.'"

Um... thats not an insult at all. Here's another from Nintendo on the same topic When asked about the recently unveiled PlayStation Move motion controller: "So, if imitation is the most sincere form of flattery then I am blushing I'm so flattered." "I think the key question is, how will they respond when we continue to innovate if this is their best effort?"" Hardly the same as calling the compeitions fanbase a bunch of kids, or claiming everyone who plays a Nintendo console is immature... I'd be emberassed too if I spent my time slagging off the compeition only to follow in thier footsteps a few years later. It's not an insult, it's true.
