All of my friends (I personally abstained from D3) who were raving about D3 at the time it was released have stopped playing like less than 1 month in.
Oh fucking please. What Yee is saying is pretty much:
"The NRA are opportunistic d-bags for using the Connecticut shooting to jump on the Violent Video Games Hatewagon and gain support for its political views. I, on the other hand, have been hating violent video games circa 2005 and are calling out NRA's blatant opportunism while simultaneously doing the exact same thing."
2.) a guy who just turned 18 and is dating his 17 y.o. girlfriend
3.) an adult who forced a 13 y.o. to have sex
have in common?
The first person is probably drunk or really had to go, the second person is a normal person in high school, and the third person is a horrible human being.
But under the law, they are all sex offenders and are grouped as one entity. Hooray! Nothing can go wrong.
It's like Gamespot got concerned by the comments on the Parker article, and decided to publish another article basically saying "but that's only ONE opinion" to placate some of the Gamespotters.
Grow a pair, Gamespot. Parker's article was nicely written, even if there wasn't mass agreement with her opinion.
