I remember that day very clearly. I was pretty young at the time, and we were doing our schoolwork when one of my mom's friends called and told her to turn on the TV. At first, you do not understand what is occurring, but after a few minutes watching the media you start to fully grasp the situation. I did not comprehend why such an attack was happening; why would planes be flying into buildings? I saw the explosion when the plane impacted the tower, I was a little taken aback, yet when the first tower started to fall and you could hear the people screaming and crying it completely and utterly shocked me. I had never been to New York, I had never seen the Twin Towers, but I felt the anguish and the fear of what was taking place. When the building collapsed smoke went everywhere; people were covered in it, some had blood all over them and others were covered in tears . . . then the second tower fell. The amount of agony exhibited by the individuals watching it fall first hand was enormous. There were cries to God, cries of pain, cries of hatred, and cries of disbelief and it was nothing like I had or ever will see.

However, one group of individuals were doing the most astonishing and brave things out there; firemen. The true heroes of that day. They risked their lives to safe every last soul they could find, it did not matter whether that person was trapped under several tons of rubble they got them out. It was bravery like no other.

After all the destruction and bloodshed had ceased, President George Bush was at Ground Zero and he gave a speech that encouraged us all. What really left an image in my mind was seeing congress, democrat and republican, together calling for retribution and a state of war with al Qaeda all other terrorist groups who had taken part in the attack. It was quite an amazing site. It is fascinating how such destruction and carnage can bring together people of different beliefs, philosophies, and characters and have them help others in need.

If I could look at 9/11 and define the "Brightside" of what happened the overall answer would be that it brought Americans closer together; it made us stronger. It led people to God, to trust in him. Yes, some of our freedoms have been encroached on and we are in a recession and a war, but we are stronger then we were before that frightful day on 9/11. The American people are no longer a sleep; we are awake and ready to do business.

In the intense state of affairs that is called the Israel-Palestine conflict two solutions exist; merge Israel and Palestine into one state, or have Palestine be given statehood and Israel remains a sovereign nation. Either option might sound acceptable or disagreeable to respective parties, but only one is the logical, fair, and satisfying course of action.

The Two State solution: the problems

· Palestine will most likely turn into another terrorist state

· Palestine will not be able to take advantage of Israel's superior technological and economical position

· Israel will suffer more rocket and terrorist attacks if Hamas and other like-minded groups remain in power

· The state of affairs could turn into a "West Berlin vs. East Berlin" issue. If Palestine does not advance economically then Palestinians will jump ship to Israel

The One State solution: the problems

· Jews will be a minority in a hostile state; therefore their political abilities will be diminished or completely done away with.

· The government will turn into a Islamic government hostile to foreign religions, due to the fact that Muslims will have the majority

· Persecution of Jews may perhaps initiate since Arab hostility towards Jews is at a high

· The economical and technological advancements of Israel, now part of the new state, would stagnant.

The Two State solution: the benefits

· Everyone gets what they want: the Palestinians obtain statehood and Israel still has the right to exist

· Jews and Arabs will both hold political and religious rights in their respective countries

· A place of refuge for the Jewish people will still endure, and the Palestinians can stop wandering the Middle East and being treated poorly by Arab leaders

· Persecution of Jews will not occur as long as the nation of Israel subsists

The One State solution: the benefits

· Palestinians would take part in the success of Israel's advancements and wealth of opportunity

· Palestinians might learn from Jewish ingenuity

· Other Arab-Muslim countries would end their complaining of Israel and Jews

· They might all just coexist

"They might all just coexist?" That is a far cry from what will ensue if the one state solution becomes reality. A growing and fierce hatred and opposition of Jews abounds in the Middle East. Why does one wonder why they want Israel off the map? It is due to the fact that many over there despise the Jewish people; when they overthrow a dictator the first insult they call him is a Jew.

In addition, a one state solution is not what both parties need. The Palestinians need to stop being spoon fed by the World Community and begin taking charge of their own lives; stop complaining, whining and blaming others for their mistakes. Furthermore, Palestinians need to throw off the terrorist government and the radical Islamic government as well as creating a fair, balanced secular government with rights for all. Finally, the Jewish people need a safe and secure homeland.

The Quran itself is what drives the terrorists do, not our occupation of their land or some other reason. Everything the jihadists say the Quran calls them to do is in there. They understand that Sharia Law is not something to be implemented across the world. Not all nations want the "bliss" that comes with Sharia; many desire to be free.

Muslims can implement Sharia in their own Middle Eastern countries, but if those nations and societies are ever going to develop further beyond the deep dark hole that they are, Sharia will have to be replaced with something the West calls Democracy.

Joseph McCarthy, born in 1908 in a small town in Wisconsin was a US senator who uncovered a mass penetration of communists into numerous governmental positions and departments. His efforts are largely ignored and ridiculed by many today, but few know that he was on the right track. Since the opening of KGB archives and the government releasing the Venona intercepts, which are decoded Soviet GRU and KGB traffic, McCarthy has been proved right. Such figures as Alger Hiss, Roosevelt foreign policy advisor and first secretary general of the United Nations; Harry Dexter White, assistant secretary of the Treasury and Truman's appointee as director of the International Monetary Fund; Lauchlin Currie, administrative assistant to Presidents Roosevelt and Truman; three congressmen, I.F. Stone of The Nation, Michael Straight, editor of The New Republic, Pulitzer Prize Winner Walter Duranty of The New York Times, and also major unions like Congress of Industrial Organization and the Screen Actors Guild were all agents of the USSR and communists. Additionally, the American Communist Party (CP-USA) was a Soviet group.

In a time where one nation is on the brink of war with another and enemy agents have infiltrated every section of society why would they not investigate the penetration? McCarthy was right about soviet agents piercing the highest levels of the government and yet the left at that time disregarded his findings and severally belittled him to the point of alcoholic addiction and death. Moreover, it is interesting that the left of that day refused to acknowledge and discern the threat just as they continue to do today. They even in some cases attempt to defend the suspected individual who is an enemy agent. Annie Lee Moss for example; she was employed as an Army cafeteria worker, but then became a clerk in the Pentagon code room. She also received The Daily Worker, a communist newspaper established by the American Communist party; they supported Stalin's policies including the Great Purge and the American administration's decision to confine Japanese Americans. In addition, a local communist party contained Annie Lee Moss's name and address on their directory and a former FBI agent attested to seeing her Communist party membership card as well.

This woman, an obvious communist was defended by many in the left at the time. One congressman even offered her a job if she lost hers. The Left could not grasp the fact that there were communists in major positions of power in the United States government. In many cases, Liberals had a difficult time distinguishing communists from their own brothers.

Joseph McCarthy was a key figure in the Cold War era. He realized the threat of a communist infiltration and brought to light the mass movement of Soviet communists into governmental positions. McCarthy has been criticized for creating a climate of fear and his allegations were ignored as unfounded and exaggerated by many in the Left. Yet the evidence has proven him correct.

Usually, I'm not one for artists or art; an interesting picture her or a cool background image there, but that's it. However, when I came across this man, Bosch Fawstin, I emediatly found his work interesting and related to what I write about on a daily basis.

Forced Conversions - The Political Informer

These days something can go wrong in the blink of an eye. Living in a state of ignorance does not assist you or others. The Boy Scout motto, "Be prepared" is a rule many do not follow today, and due to that people are uneducated on the events of this world, the facts, and what is right. No one can defend freedom, or anything for that matter, when they are as informed as a bowl of chop sticks. Being unaware does not help one in the real life, unless you are looking to escape from it. In these days, where everyone is aiming to break your beliefs and replace them with theirs, knowledge is key. If one cannot defend one's beliefs, why have beliefs in the first place. In addition, avoiding controversy to avoid defending one's principles is cowardice.

Knowledge is more important now than ever. These days if you are not grounded in your beliefs and well informed about the issues and situations that are taking place than you will be led like a sheep to the slaughter by those who will take advantage of your ignorance. Do not be a "useful idiot" as Lenin called them. Do not be afraid to research the facts.

George Washington's Sacred Fire by Peter A. Lillback

Written to correct the lies about George Washington's faith, this book does that and more. Many scholars now believe that Washington was a deist, instead of an evangelical Christian. However, during and after Washington's life historians, friends, and family all stated that he was a Christian. Peter Lillback, in his book, proves that George Washington was a Christian, and he accomplishes this quite well.

I found it amusing how modern day historians attempted to portray Washington as a deist by excluding evidence and jumping to conclusions. Additionally, they grafted their own modern way of thinking to a period of time that was much different than it was today. Also, their knowledge of Christian theology at that time of Washington is lacking. The historians state that Washington never mentioned Jesus Christ, but in his writings he uses theological names for Jesus such as "our gracious Redeemer," "Divine Author of Life and felicity," and "Giver of Life." Furthermore, in 1779, Washington declared to the Delaware Indians, who wanted to learn Christianity that "You do well to wish to learn our arts and ways of life, and above all, the religion of Jesus Christ. These will make you a greater and happier people than you are."

Many more instances in the book does the author refute the lies and distortions about George Washington. This book gave me a huge insight into how the Founders thought and especially how George Washington became such a good and godly man.
