If you have logged a great number of hours with mw2 and killzone 2 I am not sure how you will take to MAG. It doesn't feel as responsive as MW2 60fps online offering. It is also a far cry from the graphical splendor you would see in killzone 2. Both these issues I believe are due to the scale of the game. Unlike many multi-player games where a team can win with each player more or less following their own drummer MAG requires cooperation and a coordinated effort from the entier team. I am doutfull that many will take to MAG after playing MW2 and Killzone 2 as it requires an investment, a willingness to network, following commands, and a mic.

yep classic mega man. However unlike classic megaman there is a store. To make your jaunt through Wiley's castle some what easier. Play though a boss stage again that has a regenerating assailant e.g. bird in the beginning of concrete mans stage. Keep killing them and stock up on bolts (currency). There is a better place to stock up but I cant remember where it was as it has been about a year and a half since I beat the game. I remember it was a tube you could stand on with the spinng sheild weapon. Guys will keep coming out of the tube and get killed by the shield. Any ways take the bolts to the store sock up on extra lives and other valuable items to make the trip through the castle a bit more manageable. The store in Megaman 9 made it easier then many of the old school megaman games. If you want to talk about a hard game try the original megaman.

The 40gig wont' play ps2 games. The only ones that do are launch 60 and 80 gig units...nightshade869

Not quite true. The launch 20GB unit can play PS2 games. There was no launch 80GB unit. The first 80GB came out about 7 months after launch and its backwards compatibility is second to the launch units. This was due to the loss of the PS2 cpu from the ps3 motherboard. If the ps3 you are purchasing has 4 usb ports then you will probably have backwards compatibility. As I believe that the motherboard revision that removed the ps2 gpu and thereby ps2 backwards compatibility also took two of the four USB ports.

This Killzone 2/Meta Gear Solid 4 Bundel was one of the most impressive I have seen offered. With the games avalible at its conception I would say it was the perfect bundle for its time. The only bundle that I think would trump it is maybe a God of War III / Uncharted 2 bundle.

I think the title of the thread should be renamed OCD + COD = YLOD. That way it has a bit more veracity as COD does not equal YLOD.

I would approximate that the ps2 has about two years left in production. In December the ps2 sold 333,200 units in North America half as many as the PSP and about a 5th of what he ps3 sold (1.36 M). Life is clearly ebbing from the console with major releases being a thing of the past. Unlike the ps2 competitors (gamecube, Xbox) games are still being released for the system though its primarily updates to music and sport games with the occasional kiddy shovel ware thrown in for good measure. The PSONE was in production for almost tweleve years before sony killed it (source). The ps2 is more popular then the psone was. Further unlike the psone's successor most ps3 can not play the catalog of ps2 games. So I think the system has about two years left.

Been on Digg or N4G recently as that is likely where you learned of this. Both feature a video showing the kit wreaking havoc. Granted its in the terminal map which lends its self to such douchbaggery. I havent run into it yet in game but now that two prominent social news sites have featured it. I guess it will be a matter of time before everyone is using it. Which is bad in the short term but in the long term its prominence should compel IW to re-balance it.
