Greatest Console of all time?

I'll go with the Genesis. Sega TV freaking ruled. I'd hang out with my g/fs brother more than her when Road Rash was available. :D

Wow....that was AGES ago.

Truth_Hurts_U

Ditto... Sega was about 10 years ahead of it's time.

Sega was always first with everything.

Greatest console of all time must be NES. It had all the great games. Although I liked Genesis too.

Well, it's just a hard drive upgrade. And taking away the ability to play the majority of your PS2 and PSOne collection is big minus. Let me tell you; I still have all the games I've purchased since I got my PSOne in 1997.NeoGen85

Don't worry about it. I have a European PS3 and its backwards compatibility is great. I can play all my PS1 and PS2 games, and they even work better than they do on PS2, 'cause the emulation process is taking advantage of the powerful PS3 hardware. Once the American PS3s lose their Emotion Engine chip, PS3 emulated backwards compatibility will be 100% or near 100% anyway, since it's being improved for every update.

What's your reason for supporting one company over another?gamespot813

I just want to see the Xbox fail. Other than that, I support both Nintendo and Sony (and Sega when they were around).

Oh, and please tell me that North American PS3s won't eventually lose the Emotion Engine and other PS2 hardware...the PS2 backwards compatibility is a big selling point to me if I were to get one(I don't have a PS2, just a PSone), and I'm itching to play some Odin Sphere and Okami.NamelessPlayer

Some of you people go on about this like Microsoft has purposly left out BC from the 360, it really can't be easy making emulation profiles for games and I think people should give them a chance.

GrlGmr

Then how come Sony makes a great job on this? There's no excuse for Microsoft when it comes to the worthless backwards compatibility. Microsoft is THE most successful software company in the world. Emulation shouldn't be any trouble. They should've just left it out if they couldn't do it better than this.

It may have been a strategic move on M$'s part, look at the 360 game attach rate....with not many options for BC, it only helps that number.

What a worthless strategy then. What you're saying is that Microsoft is full of greed and don't care about their fans.

and sony cares about their fans?

Yeah, Sony's backward compatibility isn't a complete failure, unlike Microsoft's.

Microsoft's backwards compatiblity isn't a complete failure. A complete failure would be none at all.

Well, that's what it basically is. And the Xbox games require hard drive support too. Unbelievable. Microsoft shouldn't call it backwards compatibility. They should call it failure.

If you are playing that game in a SDTV, yes, it wasnt wort it.libthegod

Why? I find it difficult to believe that Flow is a graphics game. It's more about game play.

I think Flow is fun, but I can't really decide which PSN game is the best, since we barely have any here in Europe.
