Im actually ALOT more annoyed with Sony over the fact that ONLY us Europeans get screwed over when it comes to BC.GazzaB

Don't worry about that. Sony is improving it for every firmware upgrade. And since it's emulation, it can always improve.

Some of you people go on about this like Microsoft has purposly left out BC from the 360, it really can't be easy making emulation profiles for games and I think people should give them a chance.

Then how come Sony makes a great job on this? There's no excuse for Microsoft when it comes to the worthless backwards compatibility. Microsoft is THE most successful software company in the world. Emulation shouldn't be any trouble. They should've just left it out if they couldn't do it better than this.

It may have been a strategic move on M$'s part, look at the 360 game attach rate....with not many options for BC, it only helps that number.

What a worthless strategy then. What you're saying is that Microsoft is full of greed and don't care about their fans.

and sony cares about their fans?

Yeah, Sony's backward compatibility isn't a complete failure, unlike Microsoft's.

I mean Unlike 360 becasue of core you can't use hardrive for devepors but if Sony did put a harddrive in the PS3 they did not need blu-ray if there would be two disks than part of the game would install in the harddrive and you would only need one disk. Blu-ray was expensive and Sony is losing because of it. Suliman-Uchia

What the hell are you trying to say? Try writing something intelligible.

[QUOTE="dcm06"]you deserve to get flamed for this one gba is 2002 handheld system ps3 is 2006. SkyCastleDan

yet the gba is 30 times inferior and its kickin ps3s ass

The difference in price could have something to do with it.

Like $400 isn't more significant? Heck, like $250 isn't much more than a GBA? Stop the excuse making.

How much does the GBA cost? 50 bucks? You think that's even comparable to 600 bucks?

You think that $50 is comparable to $400? Just stop.

Point is, any kid can afford a GBA, and there are great games for it since it's established. Most parents can afford a Wii or 360. PS3 is a bit more expensive. Believe me, the price does matter.

Of course the price matters, but you still don't have much of a point. If it was that big a deal 360 would be getting outsold by GBA as well, but it's not.

So what you're saying is that the GBA would still outsell the PS3 if they were equal in price? Face it, the price matters. I got a good point here.

lol, give it a freaking rest you two. It's not so funny because of some ridiculous price difference. It's funny cause a 5 year + old system, one that could have its software played on another handheld, and one that hasn't released a "killer-ap" in years, is outselling the almighty, be-all-to-end-all $600 mega-powered PS3 with its blu-ray and cell-processor....

Sorry, but that's freaking hilarious!

Yeah, I know it's embarrassing on Sony's part. It's kind of like David and Goliath. But on the other hand, the Game Boy brand has always been extremely popular.

Of course it does, but that gets ignored here. People need to understand that the PS3's price affects its sales, and not the system itself.

True. But I have to admit, this is the PS3 getting totally owned.

It's still pretty good without the chip.
