It's ok. We have Jason Bourne and. . . Chuck Norris.

I'm not sure any country should have veto power. If veto powers are a necessary evil though, I think large stakeholders in the world should also get veto powers. Some good candidates would be Japan, Germany, Brazil and India.
Darkman, I have a question that has nothing to do with guns or killing. It's about miscegenation. Why does Israel have such backward Miscegenation policies. As a democracy, why shouldn't people be able to make their own choices?[QUOTE="EsYuGee"][QUOTE="Darkman2007"] thats why they use guns and rockets instead. its not my fault that they have nothing better to fight with than AKs and rockets , its a war, and equality means nothing. maybe in 1948, Israel should have told the Arabs "you have more tanks and aeroplanes then us, don't use them", which would have been silly.Darkman2007
you mean marriage between ethnicities?, or between religions? , because in Israel there is a difference.
in Israel ,its based on religion , ie, a Jewish person can only marry a Jewish person , a Muslim can only marry a Muslim , etc , however, if I converted to Islam , I could marry an Arab Muslim woman , and vice versa , essentially, there is no civil marriage, one has to go through the Rabbinate or the Waqf for marriage.
as for why it has that system , its mostly to do with the fact that the religious authorities (mainly the Rabbinate, but I think the Muslim Waqf supports it) managed to bargain this with the government back in the early years of the state.
however thats not exactly a big problem , because while the state doesn't allow marriages like these to take place, it recognises them if they are made abroad, so if one did want to marry , he could go somewhere else (like Cyprus) get married in a civil marriage there, and come back , the marriage will be recognised.
the ironic part is, that for all the hate he gets from the left, Lieberman is actually trying to push laws to reform this system , I think he managed to get a clause which says that if one declares to have no religion , he can marry someone else with no religion, though I could be wrong.
and yes, Israel is a democracy, one could call it a western democracy, but its not a carbon copy of a west European state in either culture or politics, its still influenced by who lives in it and where it is and its history, its unavoidable
If a Jewish girl and an Muslim guy get married and return home, do the Orthodox authorities (I'm not sure what the correct term is) have any say over what they can do? What sort of influence, both formally and informally, do they have on the couple's lives? Also, I've read that there are anti-miscegenation squads patrolling some towns in Israel. How prevalent are they? Also, why do police cooperate with them?[QUOTE="nedim100"][QUOTE="Darkman2007"] it doesn't quite work that way, weapons are very common in the west bank , and there are enough militants skulking around. though I could do the same, most Israelies are not armed, only the army, just like only the militants are armed among Palestinians.Darkman2007
If they had anything better, they wouldnt use stones.Thats my logic.

PS: while looking for this pic I accidentally typed in "buck larson" and the results were. . . NSFW. You were warned.
At this point I would agree more with the Palestinians. Mainly because the West Bank settlers get away with so much and there's no one illuminating the situation.

Game of Thrones. Which reminds me. . . Where the heck is winter. Really, come on now. It was 68 degrees here in Atlanta today.
I wouldn't consider this a good omen. For the past few generations the most powerful console has always come in second.
Like I said in the other thread. Ban insider trading by members of Congress. Why is this not a law. Give it a straight up or down vote and lets see where everyone stands.
Ban insider trading by members of Congress. Now who could disagree with that?
