Good lord, this again. If you're worried about battery life, don't get a 4.3 inch LTE phone or else take your charger with you. If you're worried about glitches and don't care about spending a milllion years customising your phone, don't get android. Get an iphone or Windows Phone 7.

If it's your first smartphone, get an iphone. The user experience is better, IMO. Everything is alot more integrated and feels more intuitive. Some things you might want to consider though is whether or not ringtones and bluetooth tranfer are important to you. Iphone doesn't do that. Also, the iphone doesn't have the gps that talks to you. You have to buy an app for that. What will you be using your phone for most of the time? If it's just calling, texting and web browsing, get an iphone.

The article brings up some interesting points. They basically out-competed us at the cost of their workers's personal freedoms. It's good for businsess but not for the regular person's quality of life. They're little more than property of the company now.

Interesting tidbit from the article that sums it up pretty well.

A foreman immediately roused 8,000 workers inside the company's dormitories, according to the executive. Each employee was given a biscuit and a cup of tea, guided to a workstation and within half an hour started a 12-hour shift fitting glass screens into beveled frames. Within 96 hours, the plant was producing over 10,000 iPhones a day.

Because we know there is a direct correlation between a politician's personal life, and his ability to lead a country

KC_Hokie

No, but there's a correlation between a politician's personal life and what he does when he's leading.

No there isn't. Do you know how many very good presidents had affairs/girlfriends?

No, I don't. How many? I'm not talking about affairs though. How does having an affair affect your policies?

You know, what's funny is that the vast majority of libs would jump at the chance to commit adultery with a woman who is:

  • Hotter than what they already have
  • Wealthier than what they already have

Why jump on Gingrinch for his formerly adulterous ways?

moneymatterz

Because most of them don't have the audacity to make a public service announcement about the sanctity of marriage shortly before going home and sleeping with their third wife.

Yeah....and? What's the problem? He's only a messenger for an idea that's been lingering throughout modern human history. No one is perfect, but you're implying that it is reprehensible to inspire others to strive for perfection.

Who's talking about perfection? We're talking about someone disregarding one of the tenets of their platform when it suits them and then returning to it when it's politically convenient. Seriously, why should anyone who places a high value on the sanctity of marriage vote for Gingrich over Romney or even Obama?

[QUOTE="ristactionjakso"]Environmentalists +1.....American Jobs 0.......I guess having no jobs is batter than having jobs...

ristactionjakso

It can be depending on the consequences those jobs would have, in this case destroying the environment. I'm a bit more angry at those who are outsourcing well-paying jobs that aren't destroying the environment. Mitt Romney killed more American jobs than were lost because this proposal didn't go through, and unlike stopping this proposal he killed jobs for personal profit and not because it had some other positive outcome.

These jobs would not destroy the environment. We have a ton of piplines already in America, is the environment destroyed? Nope. The pipline would add jobs to the unemployed. Obama isntead is interested in keeping the average American down.

Ok, really now. You actually think the main objective of this pipeline is to help the average American?

Firefly is a good one, but short.

Farscape (I think it's underrated)
